Right - i have a few questions, so apologies!

1 - Is it too many to ask 4 people to be my bridesmaid? (Seeing as the wedding might be fewer than 20 guests?)

2 - Is 2 years out too early to ask? (They will be coming over to WDW from the UK)

3 - How should I ask them? Before or after I send save the dates? I was thinking of doing it with save the dates, putting in a little mickey mouse bracelet and a letter. Or is that too informal? Doesn it need to be face to face (some live a few hours away from me.)

1.) No, I don't think 4 people is too many. As long as they are close to you and you want them there I think that's fine.

2.) I would ask them as soon as you can. I asked my BMs all about a day or two after we got engaged. By the time our wedding comes, it will be about 14 months. This gives them ample time to save money.

3.) I asked everyone over the phone and then sent out little cards that I made thanking them for being a part of our special day. I think Mickey mouse bracelets would be fun!!

I agree wiht Lindsey.

1. 4 is not too much. there is really no set number
2. ask as soon as you can, it will make it easier for them to plan.
3. The mickey braclets sound good. I did bridesmaid cookies.

2. I'd wait a little longer before you ask bridesmaids, unless they're sisters or something. I asked mine too early, and if I did it even 6 months later I prob would have swapped a few... not that I don't like the girls I have, but there's girls that I've become closer with that I wish I was able to have, and some of my bridesmaids I've started to grow apart from. Two years is a long time, alot can happen within that time!

3. I would ask them before Save the Dates. I asked most of my girls by phone. I've seen girls who made up really cute "Will You Be My Bridesmaid?" cards though, and I wish I would have done that!

Thanks for the advice angela - i think maybe i should leave it a while and see what happens friend wise - although 2 of my BMs I've know since I was a baby and they are closer than family to me, so the three of us all know its obivous they will be my BMs lol. As for the other two I may leave it a bit.

As my guests will al be coming from the UK and have to count my wedding as a big holida I'm sending teh Save the Dates as early as possible so people ahve time to save. I'll do invites and info a year or so out once I have a definite date.

I could maybe wait till closer to then? But then I dont want people to start thinkg I dont want them!

Maybe I should just invite me, jack and our parents! Lol.

Those cookies are SO cute!

I think 4 is just fine! It's YOUR wedding - do whatever you want! There aren't any rules written in stone.

2 years out - hey, if they can help you and take some stress off your shoulders ask away!

And the bracelets sounds adorable! I live in FL and my bridesmaids live in NY, CT and Washington, DC so I couldn't ask in person. One wedding I was in the bride asked us with a shipment of chocolate covered pretzels on Valentine's Day (very cute - it was because of the love involved in the whole thing between her and the groom and our friendships) with a nice card, my best friend asked us with flowers (gave everyone a bouquet from the florist) and a really sweet card, and another best friend simply asked over the phone.

Here's what I did:

I included a personal note card to each one of them in the boxes as well, packaged them up and shipped 'em out!
