Hi,
My family (dh,ds,dd and I) went on a Wish trip this past June to WDW. We asked if we can have an option to stay at one of the deluxe resorts( the Contemporary) instead of GKTW. My dd qualified for the Wish trip. She is not in a wheelchair, so that's why we opted to stay at the Contemporary resort.
Our Wish granter was able to give us a lot of info. Whatever questions I had,I always called or emailed him. Whatever questions he didn't have an answer to, he would call the Wish coordinator at the Make-A- Wish office and then he would get back to me.
I would say for any reservations you need( character meal, etc) ,
I would say to keep close contact with your Wish granter. That's what they are there for. Our Wish granter let us have a choice on what character meal my dd wanted. When we decided, our Wish granter made that reservation for us. We were on our own as of making PS for other meals, shows, etc.
When our Wish granter did his first visit with us a few months before our trip, my dh and I told him what our dd wanted to do as of Disney parks, Univeral Studios, etc.
Our Make-A- Wish office told us from the beginning that my dd's wish can be catered to what she wanted to do- that it is her wish.
It was wonderful to stay at the Contemporary resort. We were able to see the Wishes Fireworks from our room! Just beautiful!
