:sad1:Just found out 2 nights ago that a close family friend, she might as well be my aunt (known me my entire life and has lived next door to me for 4 years now) has advanced pancreatic cancer. Her DH is a mess and she told me tonite that she may only have a couple months left. She has been going to the dr since March complaining of pains, but the docs kept misdiagnosing her :confused3 Anywho she is going to Hopkins to see about if chemo could give her more time...she was told it may give her a year by UMD. I am a wreck and trying to help her all I can, but really the most I can do is offer my prayers. Just asking for prayers for her and her DH in this time and for maintaining my sanity and emotions. Thanks to all and God Bless!

I'm so sorry! I know how devastating a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer can be. I lost a dear friend to it. However, she fought and fought, and she lived a lot longer than anyone thought she would. We had precious times together before the end. I believe in the power of prayer. I'll be praying for you, and for your aunt.
God bless you!

Prayers for you, your Aunt and her family:flower3:

Prayers said....

I have dealt with these diagnoses for years... too many times. Prayers that your friend will receive all the blessings she and her family deserve.

God bless you all...:grouphug:

My grandpa passed away last Wednesday from pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed last May. While they past 6 months have been long and hard, it was nice knowing that we were able to each take some time to spend with him. Hospice was able to come in and they kept him fairly comfortable. Prayers for your 'family' as they face this difficult time.

Hugs and prayers to you, your family and your friend. Pancreatic cancer seems to missed so often! Ugghhh!

May the Lord give you and your extended family the strength to handle this. :grouphug:

Sending prayers your way. My mother lost a dear friend to pancreatic cancer on Friday. It was less than 3 months since she was diagnosed. Telling my 6 year old that she had passed was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. She was my mom's next dorr neighbor, and my DD was close to her. Watching her greive was so hard, but I know that my mother's friend is in a better place. Sending hope that you will be able to find peace with this. :grouphug:

Sending prayers to you and your family. My DH lost an uncle to pancreatic cancer 2 years ago.

Keeping you and your friend in my thoughts. I lost my husband to pancreatic cancer last year after an eight month battle. Pancreatic cancer is a beast.

Sending prayers your way. I've known too many people with pancreatic cancer. It's a devastating disease :grouphug:

Hugs to you. I lost my father to pancreatic cancer last month, he only lived about 5 weeks past his diagnosis. I believe he was also misdiagnosed for more than a year.

Enjoy the time you have left with your friend, and here's hoping she has a miracle recovery. I've also heard several stories of people given 6 months to live with PanCan and they live for years.
