Asking for an upgrade??

I'm usually a Disney person but we're trying out Portofino Bay this year for 3 nights. SO EXCITED! I was wondeirng how taboo it is to ask for a room upgrade (to a Bay View Room). I know in Disney most will tell you not to ask but in other hotels I've been (outside of Disney and Universal) we always ask for an upgrade and sometimes get one.

Soooooo, is it ok to ask or do I have a better chance if I keep my mouth shut????? ;-)

You can always try asking very politely. If you are going during busy time there probably isn't much hope but if you are going during a non-busy time then it often happens.

Make sure you sign up for Loews Youfirst. You won't get any special benefits the first time but after two stays, there are special perks.

Blue members receive a room upgrade, if available, upon arrival. Yes, I would ask.

As a blue memeber we have gotten an upgrade every time at the Portofino.. Did not even have to ask..The best hotel I have ever stayed at.. Also free internet..
