Asking about codes - -

Since becoming a DVC member I no longer recieve codes in the email or postal mail. I called CRO to ask if there was anything tied to me and was told they are not allowed to tell guests anymore. I called back and another CM told me the same thing. When did this happen that they can no longer tell you?
 
Maybe what you can do is pretend you are booking. I booked a room at POR for Aug. (may cancel and just go next year) and before I can tell them that I have a PIN #, the lady told me that I have a code attached to my name that will give me a discount.
 
A couple of weeks ago I had a CM tell me that I had a PIN attached to my name. I was actually booking a vacation though.
 
Thats really strange, not 3 weeks ago, prior to booking my trip online, I called first to see if there was any hidden PIN attached to my account. She let me know what we had without question. Maybe as PP said, it makes a difference if you say you're in the process of booking?
