The title says it all. DD is tuning 3 during our trip and loves the princesses, especially the frozen girls, Ariel, Belle , and Rapunzel. We would like to do a special princess meal for her birthday. Would you recommend Askershus or CRT? I think the food at Askershus sounds more appealing

For a 3 year old, I don't think you can go wrong with either experience! She'll get to meet princesses at both. So I would pick from the adults point of view and go with where the more appealing menu is, what works best into your plans, budget etc.

Have fun!

We have done both, multiple times. We have found the atmosphere more impressive, more wow factor at CRT. Also, at CRT DD will get a wand and they do a short wishing star ceremony during the event. There is nothing similar at Askershus, at least not the times we were there. I think you should do what works best for your plans but if both work I would choose CRT.

We have done both as well-twice each. Unless something has changed, if you are on the dining plan CRT is 2 credits and Akershus is 1.

You get Belle in her yellow gown at the door at Akershus and I see you mentioned she is a favorite. She doesn’t appear at CRT any longer; but Cinderella is usually at Akershus. Ariel as well has been at both every time we went.

Unless something unusual happens the others you listed (Elsa, Anna, Rapunzel) don’t appear at either. No wand at Akershus. They do have a Princess parade where the princesses escort the girls around the restaurant while music plays. I actually preferred the character interaction at Akershus.

It's true though that the atmosphere at CRT is wonderful.

We did akershus at 3.5 yo because we didn't think the extra cost and elegance of CRT would matter at that age. Now our next trip, at 5.5 yo, we are doing CRT and now I think she will love it!

We have done both and CRT was WOW!!! but also rushed, while breakfast at Akershus was a nice pace and just as special. I would do both again but with a younger child would probably do Akershus. Also not certain when you are going but I believe that CRT is getting a remodel right now. Don't think I would pay CRT prices to not eat in the castle.

We also did this, but my granddaughter turned 3 and did BBB and this year she will do CRT at 6 and we also thought she would love doing this at 6.

We have done both several times. We far prefer CRT. There is just something special about eating in the castle. The girls get wands and the boys get swords. That said, she will love either one because they both have Princesses. If Belle is a favorite, she will get a formal picture with her in her gold dress at Akersus. Occasionally if something happens, Belle has a substitute, but she is there probably 95% of the time. I don't know if you plan on doing autograph books at her age (DD didn't until she was a year or two older than that), but if you do, that is the only place she signs in her gold dress. She is out in WS in her blue dress and signs there. There is no place in MK anymore where she signs or where you can have a conversation with her- ETWB is is just an extremely rushed photopass pic. Ariel usually makes a table rotation both places. Rapunzel doesn't usually appear at meals, but I hear lately she has been showing up at CRT here and there.

CRT is not worth the money or the 2 dining credits IMO. We went last summer at 8:05am with a 4.5yo and 2yo and felt rushed, the princess interactions were so-so (we were their first table of the day). Yes they get a wand but it's cheap plastic and they didn't really care for it. The only thing they still play with is the star from their wish. Will I go back to CRT? Not unless the menu changes dramatically and if my girls specifically ask for it (which they haven't for our upcoming trip this summer -- we booked Akershus instead).
