Askerhus vrs. Beirgarten????

I have never been to either and continually get the two mixed up. Besides the obvious of entertainment, can anyone tell me the difference in food? Which is better? How is it served? I am leaving in 11 days and would really appreciate any insights. My husband may consent to go to one but not both these restaurants. Thanks for the help

Biergarten is German style food. Scnitzel, German sausage, salads, etc. Also you may be seated with others if it is only the two of you. It is an all you can eat lunch and dinner.


Akershus Royal Banquet Hall: Norwegian food. Character meal with Princesses. Has a cold buffet and your choice of an entree.

Have you taken a look at the menu on allears - explains it pretty well.

My dh liked Biergarten more.

If your DH likes beer, go to Biergarten. They have 1-liter mugs of excellent German beer for $9.50. I think it's a great place to eat and cool off when it's hot in the parks. We were able to get an ADR a couple of hours before we wanted dinner.

Biertgarten all the way. Akershus is okay, if you like sushi which I personally do, but if I have to choose I choose bratwurst with sauerkraut and a beer. MMMMM. Can't wait to eat there in July. Enjoy your choice.
