Ask to ride in the monorail nose or tail cone!

On our recent trip we were able to ride roundtrip on the monorail in the tail cone, just because I knew to ask. Someone else had already requested the nose cone when we walked up, but we were able to get into the tail cone. It was air conditioned and offered a great view.

Just an FYI they won’t load the nose or tail when it’s extremly hot out or when above the buttons next to the door there is a little magnet that says “DN”.

Also, they won't load the nose at the DTD station if the party already seated inside doesn't depart there. If that party wishes to ride roundtrip back to TL station, no one at DTD will get to ride in the nose until the next trip (assuming the next party seated does decide to de-board at DTD). Theoretically, the party waiting at DTD could wait for quite a while if several parties loading at TL want to ride roundtrip.

I love making this request :)

Last time I asked to ride in the front, the CM quickly picked up on the fact I would love to have a picture of my panda stuffy sitting in the driver's seat, but didn't want to pester him with another request. So he just offered it, lol!

We were invited to sit in the nose one time, it was a real treat!
I was surprised at how the front end porpoised up and down on the track. Never noticed it before but from the view point of the front end, the track actually sags just a little between stanchions.

I don't know if they always do this or not, but last month at DTD station my party of two was allowed to join the party of two that was already inside the front riding round trip.

It may be because there was enough room for two more guests that you were allowed to join. When we've had to wait, it was because there were families of at least four guests already seated who weren't planning to disembark at DTD.

They will pair you up. I go solo so I always get added in with. group of 2 or 3 when I ride in the front since it holds up to 4 people. The back holds more.

This happens if you are needing handicapped access as well. Sometimes it's several monorails before a handicapped area is available.
