Ask Me Anything Game: Ask JohnnySharp2 Anything

I didn't register to join this question and answer thread but I have read one or two (hope that's OK Matt) but Johnny's answers are tearing me apart. I think I have my problems but to just want your son to call you daddy just once puts my worries into perspective. I really hope it happens for you one day Johnny, I really do.

Thanks Wendy, it was inevitable I would be asked 'what I would wish for' etc at some point so just gave an honest answer.

There are so many positives with Joshua, the negatives we deal with. :thumbsup2

Also to be able to share them on the DIS is something of great value to me.

what did you have for lunch today ?

have you ever dieted ?

whats your favourite tipple ?

who usually drives when you go out for a drink, you or julie
?

Hi Nat,

Had a bacon barmcake at work earlier in the morning, was in a meeting through lunch so skipped it.

Not really, occasionally slim down a bit for our holidays but have rarely needed to be honest.

A nice pint of Thwaites bitter.

To be honest Nat we rarely go out drinking together (mainly by choice), as we both work full time and see to Josh etc by the evening we are too tired really. I used to go out every sunday with my mates but since we moved house it became more difficult.
My mum and dad often offer to 'Josh-sit', and we sometimes go out for our tea.
Wherever we go I always do the driving, and often don't drink alcohol if we eat out.

what do you drive in your head? and what do you really drive?

who would you like to play you in the film of your life? and who would really play you?

what songs are on the soundtrack?

can I ask some questions about Josh's autism? please say no if you don't want me to.

Hi Carol,

An Aston Martin, we have a brand new BMW M Sport, only 2 weeks old plus a Citroen Picasso diesel.

Matt Damon! though he is much too young I think, John Travolta would be ideal :)

Anything by New Order, 'Nothing lasts forever' by Echo and the Bunnymen, 'Wishful Thinking' by China Crisis

Of course Carol, I really don't mind being open about Joshua

when was the last time you had a cry and why ? (i ask because this thread has made me cry already !!)

Hi Johnny :)

Hope you are enjoying being 'it' so far!

What was the last film you watched?

What TV shows are 'must sees' for you at the moment?

What is your favourite take away?

What is Joshua's favourite thing to do on holiday?

Hi Jo,

Very much so yes, some great questions and if it means people get to know me better then that's a good thing too.

At the cinema I went to see a horror SAW 3, on DVD I watched the Bourne Supremacy (again) last week.

To be honest apart from Top Gear - none. I tend to watch sport and movies on SKY generally.

I am a real fussy eater but I do like a take-away from a nearby chinese.
It is actually called 'American Chicken' and is chicken breast/chips/peas/pineapple fritter/battered banana and gravy :)

He loves water and especially playing in the villa pool - to be honest it can be difficult getting him out of the home in the evening, especially as he loves watching TV/DVDs too (we take several US format one's with us). Especially likes Blues Clues and Thomas The Tank Engine.
Naturally he likes the parks too, Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios are favourites of his.

Lizzy that is perfectly exceptable! I am thinking the exact same thing!

Johnny I would gladly grant that Wish if I had the Magic to do so! I do so hope that Josh one day talks for you! Honest!

I know you'll hate me for this but... :wizard: pixiedust: !

;)

Hate you? impossible.....

Hi Nat,

Sorry :grouphug:

I think the last time I 'nearly' cried was when Liverpool won the European cup in 2005, last time I 'actually' did ...........when Joshua found to be autistic a few years ago.
That's going to start you off again isn't it?

Johnny, April is Autism Awareness Month....

Did you know this?

Were you planning on doing anything?

Would you?

Interesting.... I liked Thomas the Tank Engine when I was younger..... :goodvibes

And also used to like Blues Clues.... (for about a week). When It came out when I was Ten! :lmao:

;)

Hate you? impossible.....

Aww...... :cloud9:

::yes:: :sad1: Here is hoping for a happy ending!

It brought back some memories and started me off... On a lighter note

What's your favourite Park, Disney or other

Do you like swimming if so do you prefer the pool or the ocean

Hi Carol,

Of course Carol, I really don't mind being open about Joshua

ok then I'll be brave although will probably electrocute myself by crying into the keyboard...

at what point did you know Josh was 'different' and how did you know?
at what point was it confirmed and how did you feel?
did you feel guilt or anger that this had been thrust upon you?
We know Joshua can't speak and that must be frustrating at times, is it an impossibility that he will ever speak or is it that he 'chooses' not to?
we know you get frustrated by comments from others that he's too big for a pushchair when you're in WDW but how does the general public show their ignorance and if you could teach us all one lesson here in how to behave around children with severe autism what would it be?

(sorry thats so long and I hope its ok, I just feel we can all learn something from people as brave as you two  you know we all love and admire you here)

Hi Johhny, just popped over to say Hi to partner in crime for the week, are you having fun yet ?

Would also like to add that Jules and I have got quite emotional about your answers also. I am sure the Mrs will be hounding you this week !

Carol, those are really good questions!

One more question about Josh from me. How old is he? That's curiousity for ya.. :)

OK, time to break the sad mood with some silly questions!

If it was april fools yesterday, and no-one really bothered to pull pranks, does that make us fools?

I am currently letting my cousins (my real life ones) play with shotguns. Are you shocked?

What if I told you if it was a video game? :lmao:

If Cow tipping is impossible why do so many people claim to do it?

Does cow tipping qualify as trying to wake a pudgey sibling up in the morning?? :rotfl:

If the answer is 42, what's the question?

And the BIG question: If you were a Pokemon what would you be?

yep !

did you plan to have any more children ? if thats too personnal just ignore it,i think you are a great dad btw :thumbsup2

Hi Nat,

No - we have talked about it, Josh was also an IVF child , so we would have to go through the whole process again and to be honest I think it would be a bit too stressful.

Thanks for the compliment ;)

Hi Matt,

Julie mentioned it earlier yes, I think they are doing something at Joshua's school later in the month. I am not sure what though.

Think Josh will always like Blue's Clues. :)

Hi,

Overall Magic Kingdom is our favourite , it is the one that always feels special no matter how many times we go. Second best would be Universal Studios, plenty for me , Julie and of course Josh to enjoy at both. :)

I am not a good swimmer at all I am afraid, never been that comfortable in the ocean - thankfully Joshua loves water but prefers the pool villa to anywhere else.

Johnny, I'm looking forward to reading your answers about Josh - just call me nosey ;) . I'm especially intrigued about his age. I'd always assumed he was quite young (from the photos in your signature), but you've mentioned that his first trip was in 1997.

These threads have been extremely light-hearted up until now, but I'm enjoying "getting to know you" even if it has had everyone in tears! :rotfl: That's the whole point of them, after all (props again to little Matt).

OK, so I haven't posted a question - I was going to ask Josh's age, but Matt beat me to it.

what sport do you play, if none, which sport would you like to be really good at?

same question for musical instruments?

what, in your opinion, is the bravest or most 'worthy' job someone can do?
