Hey Guys, time for another week of questions. Johnny wanted to make clear that he will be really busy today and wednesday so can we all leave him lots of questions for when he gets back (muhahaha  :rotfl: )

Uncle Johnny....

1) Would you care to explain to everyone (besides myself), why you are my uncle? I am sure there are enquiring minds that want to know why I decided to make you apart of my family. (To be honest, the whole "Disboards extended family" part only started because of you! :goodvibes I now have a mummy (carolfoy) and an older sister (wils)!)

2) Please explain your reasons for hating Doctor Who! I mean come on, greatest show on earth! :goodvibes

3) And what's up with  ? I mean, OK he has nothing to do with Peanut Butter and Jelly (to which I do NOT get at all!) but he's so funny!

4) Why is it whenever I tell anyone I eat Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam in my sandwiches, everyone looks at me like I am some kind of freak! :lmao:

5) How is Cousin Josh? Do you reckon he will grow up as a DISer as well? Or better yet, a Pokemon Fan? :lmao:

6) On another Note, how is Auntie... erm.. Who is my auntie? Is she a DISer as well? (don't answer that one if you don't want to!)

and 7) (Serious Note). Being an Aspie as you know well Johnny, it is very hard to see the effect of my actions at some points. For example, Sometimes a joke I say might actually be kinda rude and I'd have absouletly no clue, and whilst that allows me to experiment with different jokes now and again, it also could mean that in the future someone might get really angry at me..

As a Parent, do you ever feel frustrated with Josh? But equally, do you still love him in the same way as before? Or do you see him diffently? (Don't answer that one either if you don't want to!)

Good Luck Uncle Johnny, and I'll try to keep the serious stuff to a minimum!

What was your best moment there?
If you were going somewhere else on holiday - where would it be?

1. The way I see the 'Uncle thing' is that sometimes because you have something in common with someone a special bond exists, you and Josh are 'special' in many ways and it's like we know each other really well although we have never met.
Hopefully the friendship will last forever.

2. I don't hate it, just haven't really got into the newer episodes that's all - just doesn't seem to have the same appeal as the older stuff. I have actually met Paul McGann a couple of times and thought he was a really good Doctor Who.
I have never been a massive fan over the years but quite liked some of the earlier series and especially Paul's 'Doctor'.

3. oh dear, THE inevitable question, I don't dislike smiley's just I do feel that sometimes you read a post where there is a smiley every few words or sentence that's all.
The Banana's are minging mate!! trust me

4. Because it sounds horrid! Mind you I like Mashed potato butties so.......

5. He is fine, I am sure if was able to he would be a DISer yes, his Autism really means this is not possible I am afraid.

6. Auntie = Julie, she is a teacher which is useful as it helps looking after Josh in school holidays. She doesn't come on the DIS much but occassionally post under my id, especially on the disABILITIES board.

7. I doubt whether anyone could angry at you young man, and if they do send them my way!

I do sometimes feel frustrated with Josh yes, but it's just more through stress - it can be very tiring sometimes, and it can be very difficult getting him to understand certain things. However, we always hug and kiss afterwards, we are extremely 'affectionate' towards him.

Hi AnnMarie,

I work for a global company, my team deal with data transfers between many other 'global companies' and organisations. The transfer of data electronically basically and we have many Government based and worldwide customers.
Our office is in Manchester and I work from home 3 days a week. In my little part of the group I have 6 staff who report to me directly.

I joined in 1998 and yes it's the best job I have ever had.

Really don't know, I am happy in my job and genuinely do not think about doing anything else.

Hi Carol,

My first ever holiday abroad was with Julie, our honeymoon, and the first time I had ever flown, my Dad took us to Gatwick airport and I cried my eyes out when we got there, emotion of the wedding and flight nerves etc
We had tried to book Orlando but there were no flights, there weren't as many those days and they were all booked up.
Stayed at the Thunderbird Miami for a week and then flew to Barbados and stayed at the Hilton.
Booked a coach trip from Miami to Orlando and had a couple of days around the parks, which was great.
The weather in Barbados wasn't great, it was June and the rainy season so it did affect our week there - beach was fabulous though.

Best ever holiday, was probably 1997 Josh's second one , flights were fine, he was happy and playful as always. It was late September through early October and the weather was ideal.
We travelled to Naples and loved it there , a perfect compliment to a busier week at Orlando.
Josh was just that age when we able to enjoy the attractions aimed at younger children and he looked so good walking around with his little summer outfits on, matching cap etc
Stayed at 2 nice hotels, Rosen Center at Orlando and Registry Resort at Naples, really well looked after.

Would really like to go to New York, possibly flying from Orlando when we are on holiday in Florida, just all the chopping & changing with the accomodation plus he wouldn't get much out of NY I think has put us off so far.
I am sure one day we will go there but generally big cities and Josh don't go together.

We have been to Florida 14 times, the first time we actually went to Miami and took a coach trip to Orlando - to be honest I knew nothing about EPCOT or anything really!

Our best moments are always seeing Joshua enjoy himself, he always comes first, so I would say every time we take him to Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom and he goes on all the rides he loves - that would be our best moment(s).

New York , have talked about going there and have always wanted to, only reason we haven't is because I don't think Josh would get much out of it.
Would also like to go to Boston.

Matt,

I would for Joshua to be able to talk (just to say Daddy once would be enough).
A cure for ANY Autism (although most affected are special children/people).
Liverpool to win the Premier League!

I haven't a clue dear boy, Sonic I have heard of but know nothing about.

Ha Ha - I am sure she will ask loads mate!

aren't you glad I get over RSI really quickly? ;)

how long have you and Julie been married?

where and how did you meet?

are you house trained? and what do you do to help out?

can you cook? and what is your speciality?

Ha ha - of course!

16 years (swoonnnn)

We knew each other through work, although rarely met/talked. Got together at a works Christmas 'do' at the 'Ruskins' restaurant/club in Blackpool.
Just asked her for a dance and she said yes.
Had our first official date 3 or 4 days later.

I am extremely good around the house, but not a 'handyman' as such. The only thing I don't help out with is ironing, I wash the car's every week, mow the lawn and do my fair share of housework too.
Julie says she always tells people how good I am!

Not really, I do my fair share of cooking for Joshua but for several reasons we don't always eat at the same time and often not the same food either.
I am an extremely fussy eater and do not like anything spicy for instance, Julie doesn't like fish but otherwise isn't fussy at all.

I didn't register to join this question and answer thread but I have read one or two (hope that's OK Matt) but Johnny's answers are tearing me apart. I think I have my problems but to just want your son to call you daddy just once puts my worries into perspective. I really hope it happens for you one day Johnny, I really do.

Hi Nat,

I haven't no , not even a Pony or Donkey!

no - never.

I once got my cousin to hold onto a boy so I could hit him, I said that he beat me up the week before - which wasn't 'strictly' true, he was a big lad and just sat on me.
Can't think of any others.

Course, I use little 'smiles' and 'winks' and 'hugs' now and again...I don't HATE smiley's, it's just posts with smiley's every few words or after every sentence I don't get....just makes the post difficult to read.

what did you have for lunch today ?

have you ever dieted ?

whats your favourite tipple ?

who usually drives when you go out for a drink, you or julie
?

what do you drive in your head? and what do you really drive?

who would you like to play you in the film of your life? and who would really play you?

what songs are on the soundtrack?

can I ask some questions about Josh's autism? please say no if you don't want me to.

Hi Johnny :)

Hope you are enjoying being 'it' so far!

What was the last film you watched?

What TV shows are 'must sees' for you at the moment?

What is your favourite take away?

What is Joshua's favourite thing to do on holiday?

Lizzy that is perfectly exceptable! I am thinking the exact same thing!

Johnny I would gladly grant that Wish if I had the Magic to do so! I do so hope that Josh one day talks for you! Honest!

I know you'll hate me for this but... :wizard: pixiedust: !
