Ask Me Anything: Ask UKDEB Anything

Hi Deb !!

What's your favourite non-alcoholic drink?

Who's your favourite actor?

What's your favourite WDW park?

Do you have any hobbies?

* Coffee, although I only drink one or two cups a day of top quality coffee - we've had a Nespresso machine for years - and never instant. I rarely drink tea, or squash and I've never liked pop. I do like juice, but other than alcohol, I mainly drink water.
* Tricky. I'm not sure that I've got one - it's the characters I tend to fall in love with, rather than the actors. A slightly off-the-wall choice (and possibly under-rated), but I really like Michael J Fox.
* Easy peasy - Epcot, without a doubt. Some of my happiest memories are of times spent there.
* Well, obviously DISing. Not really sure that it counts as a hobby, but I love cooking. As you know, I'm having golf lessons at the moment. Whether or not it turns into a hobby remains to be seen... :teeth:

Hi Deb

What's in your handbag?

What was the last thing you bought and how much did it cost?

What was the last thing you ate?

What was the last text you sent?

What was the last text you received?

Laur's princess:

* I like things to be tidy and hate clutter, so just essentials - business cards, stamps, pen, purse, sunglasses, phone and, occasionally, a comb. Although I don't often leave the house without wearing make-up or perfume, I never "touch up" during the day. If I collect things in my bag during the day (such as receipts), I always clear it out when I get home.
* Well, other than a few staples in the supermarket yesterday, the last personal thing I bought was shampoo and conditioner at the hairdressers last Wednesday which cost £18.
* The last thing I ate was a slice of toast this morning whilst the Stringers were still here for breakfast. It was a "taste test" in as much as it was cut in half with regular Marmite on one side and Guinness Marmite on the other.
* The last text I sent was to a friend on Saturday. Her boyfriend was here with us and the Stringers enjoying a barbecue and she was being miserable and didn't come. I sent her a text asking her to come along. I haven't had a reply!
* The last text I received was on Friday telling me Voicemail had about 235 new messages (I only have one mobile - my work one). :rolleyes:

Do you prefer to dress casual or smart?

What's your favourite perfume?

Do you have any bad habits, and what are they?

We can't get the Guinness marmite up here yet - what is it like?

well hello there - looked like I arrived back just in time!! hee hee hee!!
Oh joy! :rotfl:

now - hows your pelvic floor?
last time you laughed so hard you leaked?
last time you laughed so hard you squirted drink out your nose?
have you one of those only-funny-to-you memories that sometimes catches you unawares and cracks you up?
can you ride a horse (no idea where tha one came from!)
favourite comedian?

I'll throw the same to Lisa

* Shot to pieces, love!
* Actually, I don't every remember doing this. Maybe my pelvic floor's holding up better than I'm giving it credit for!
* I know I've done this, but I don't remember the circumstances, so it can't be very recently.
* Yes, it all revolves around a translation lesson in French when I was at school. Whenever I retell it, I can't get through it for laughing.
* No. Well, that's to say I don't know that I've ever tried. Maybe I can. Maybe I'd be a regular Harvey Smith. I did used to ride the cows when I lived on a farm as a toddler.
* I'm trying to think of someone who never fails to make me laugh out loud. My tastes have definitely changed over the years. Paul Merton is funny. And Bill Bailey. Not sure that I'd say either was my favourite, but I'm struggling to come up with anyone.

Hi Deb

What's your favorite cosmetic brand

What's your favorite WDW resort and why

What's your favorite Florida memory

* I don't have a favourite brand, really - certainly not one that I stick with come what may. I do like preumium brands, though - my make-up bag includes Chanel, Laura Mercier, Smashbox, YSL, Lancome, Versace, MAC, Prescriptives, Dior (and probably a few others).
* My favourite resort is possibly the BoardWalk due to its proximity to Epcot. There are others I like possibly more, though, based on just the resorts themselves. Also, we bought DVC at Saratoga Springs last October and will be staying there for the first time in August, so it will be interesting to see if that becomes my favourite.
* I have quite a few very special Florida memories, but the most recent time I felt totally at one with the World was at Epcot on Halloween last year. Matt and I were staying at the BoardWalk with the Stringers and SusanEllen (DIS name) and we all dressed up before spending some time around the BoardWalk and then heading to Epcot for IlliumiNations. There were loads of people dressed up around the BoardWalk (where they host some Halloween events), but hardly anyone at Epcot. Lots of people stopped to talk to us and the park was really quiet. We had a few nibbles at some of the Food and Wine Fesitival kiosks before finding a place for IllumiNations in Japan (not a place we've ever watched from before). The park was exceptionally quiet and it turned out to be a great spot for IllumiNations. Afterwards, we all danced around to "We Go On", "Tapesty of Nations", "Promise", and "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand", to the amusement of passers-by. We waited until everyone, other than a few CMs, had left before strollling back to the BoardWalk. A very special moment in time.

I'll have a go with a random question....

Cats or Dogs??
Cats. We have 3. I do like dogs (and I did have one), but they're harder work. I always liken it to having a toddler permanently around the place - they need constant attention.

PS, don't let on about the secret initiation ceremony ;)
Oops! :rotfl:

Some WDW ones

Favourite character?

Villan?

Parade?

Fireworks?

Ride?

Lastly favourite snack?

* Mickey
* Ursula
* Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade
* IllumiNations
* Carousel of Progress
* Don't really do snacks at WDW. The whole Dole Whip, Beaver Tails, Turkey legs thing has passed me by. Do margaritas count? :rotfl2:

Hiya Mrs

Whos the five coming for dinner and why?
I've suddenly lost the will to live! Can I get back to you? :rotfl:

OK, here goes, but please don't psychoanalyse me - just off the top of my head:

* Simon Cowell because I think he's probably much nicer than he pretends to be. Also, he's the only person I know who would insult the other guests more than Matt would! :lmao:

* Walt Disney. Do I really need to explain why? I don't think the other guests would get a look in. I'd love to know what he makes of it all and what he'd have done differently.

* My Grandfather because I miss him. He was wise, articulate, intelligent and kind and he could hold his own in any company.

* Basil Brush. There would never be any embarassing silences. Boom boom! And, if there were, we could always resort to the dinner party staple of fox hunting! :rotfl: I loved Basil Brush. I think we should start a campaign to return him to our screens.

* Elvis Presley. Because he's the King.

Good start Deb :thumbsup2 and Good Luck!

Do you like entertaining? or being entertained?

Hello Sweetpea.
Do you wish you never volunteered for this?
Do you wish you never started the photo comp?;)

What's on the menu for the Tetbury meet?
If you had a million dollars would you still talk to your friends inlow places?

Will I ever be forgiven for giveing :rolleyes1 a new meaning?

If :cool2: was Matt which ones would be me & Kev?

who were you in a prevous life ?

who or what are you coming back as next time ?

* Well, if my current life is anything to go by, an amoeba. Or Jack the Ripper. I definitely did something baaaaad! :rotfl2:

* Angelina Jolie!

do you ever regret inviting strange people to your home?

whats the recipe for a thai green curry

* Frequently. Like now.

* Take four ripe thais and blend thoroughly with an ample amount of green. Add a soupcon of spice and heat through. Serve immediately.

Do I really have to ask you a personal question in order to be allowed to read the answers you give to everyone else's questions?

Good Luck with this thing and big HUGS, Susan

Hmmm. Trust you to ask me an intellectual one. Looks as though the answer's, "No". I've now reached the point where I'm saying the first thing to enter my head! Luckily, I'm not Matt, or the answer to every question would be, "****!". Or Kev, when it would be, "beer".
