Funny story:

I"m a speech therapist. I was evaluating a little girl for an articulation disorder...or the way she says her sounds. I show her a picture, she names the picture, and so on! This little girl's father is Air Force...and they had just moved to the US from the UK.

I show her a picture of what what we call a vacuum. I say..."What's this?" I'm looking at if she can say her "v" sound. She says..."That's a hoovah!" I said..."Errrrrrmmmmmm...what?" She says it again: "That's a hoovah!"

Me: ???
Her: (she is shouting now) A HOOOOOOVAAAAAAH!
Me: ???
Her: (she is now demonstrating) A HOOOOOOOOOOOOVAAAAAAAAAAH!
Me: A hoover?
Her: That's what I said...a hoovah!

I said...can you say vacuum? She says..."Why, that's a hoovah!"

Black jeans, white vest top and pale blue cardigan (trendy one though not a granny one )

I do but it doesn't happen very often

I have a black and white skirt which I really like, wore it for my interview last week so hopefully it's lucky too
