They say the 3rd time is the charm...hopefully that is true with this trip report! :cool1: Thus far I have started 2 reports, but never finished either of them...is that bad? :sad2:

Now a little explination of my title. On his first Disney trip, DS fell in love with Donald Duck; they were best buds. Then at 18 months, he called him Da- Duc. Over the past few months Donald's name has morphed into something that sounds just like Donald Clock. He can say Donald and he can say Duck, but when you put them together you get Donald Clock. :rolleyes2

Now for an intro to my Cast of Characters...

Me!: :MinnieMo I am a Disney fan from way back. My first Disney trip was right after MGM opened in 1989. We stayed at the CBR and I thought I was living the high life. :lmao:

DH ::MickeyMo DH was introduced to Disney by me in 2004 on our honeymoon. He thought I was a little nuts until we got there. After one day he was hooked. :thumbsup2 He is now as big of a Disney buff as I am. He is a master planner and great at organizing the suitcases. :lmao:

DS :donald: He is a preschooler. His first trip to WDW was at 18 months. He loves Donald and Mickey.

Until the next update: I will be here...checking the boards, watching Mousesavers, and hoping for free dining or buy 4 get 3 for Spring 2010!

:hippie:

So this trip has officially been in the works for 3 days and we have had a major change already! When talking to my best friend (she and I have been friends since 7th grade. We were orchestra geeks together :thumbsup2) I casually mentioned our plans. I told her we were looking at sometime between Jan and May, and we hoping for a deal like free dining or buy 4 get 3 free. :worship: I guess that got her wheels turning. She asked if she would have to pay for her then 18 month old...nope. She will be free for the plane and the parks. So she asked me to send her some of my best Disney links...ME send you info about Disney?! SURE! :yay: What does all of this mean? We could be adding 3 more to our cast of characters and arriving in the World with my dear bff and her family. We are still very early in the planning stages, but this trip is getting more exciting everyday. We have vacationed with this friend before and we get along great. We are good about hanging out together, but also splitting up and doing our own thing.

If we have a party of 6 instead of a party of 3 do you know what that means...2 words...Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream! :yay: I have always wanted one of those, but have never taken the plunge.

So my question to all of you readers, what are some suggestions for Disney newbies? I know they have been to Magic Kingdom, but I do not think they have been to any of the other parks. How do I introduce them to the magic that is WDW? pixiedust:

Hear those crickets chirping in the background of my trip report? That is because we have had NO changes so far. Waiting for Disney to announce promos is hard! :worried:

My best friend is still on board for the trip although I hope travel times do not get hairy. She is taking the bar this spring so we have to work around that schedule. (She is so smart sometimes it scares me! :lmao:)

I think so far, the biggest question about the trip, besides when, is where to stay. I am really leaning toward Pop. :hippie: DH and I stayed there on our honeymoon right after it opened and it was great. (Except for the snake :scared1: but I will tell that store in another post.) While I would love to stay at a deluxe I am enjoying being a semi-SAHM. I would rather save the extra money. Best Friend wants me to look into the cabins at Ft. Wilderness. She likes the idea of us all staying together. While I do too, I am concerned that bus service is bad. The unofficial guide had several negative comments regarding buses and the fort. Can anyone shed some light on this? (We will not have a car.)

Until next time...:hippie:

"Donald Clock" :lmao: Too cute!!!

My DD calls Snow White ~ Snow Wipe and Cinderella~ Cinder-wella !!! I LOVE IT!!!

I hope you have fun on your trip.... wish I could give you advice on your lodging choice, but I've never been to Ft. Wilderness before. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Don't you just love how they butcher words?! I had to get the video camera out the other day and get him to say Donald Clock so that I would have it on tape. :rotfl:

He has also be asking to learn how to tie his shoes "in a boat". ;) When we get a boat I will get right on that! :lmao:

This is so off topic with my trip report, but is anyone else bummed that the Mickey Moms contest has a 12 month rule?! :sad1: My last visit to WDW was 14 months ago. In order to be selected for the panel you have to have visited the parks in the last 12 months...2 months difference...2 months!

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled trip planning for spring 2010!
