We got there at 6 p.m. to walk around the world, and ALL of their parking lots were filled almost to the MAX! In my entire life of being here, I have NEVER seen Epcot so full. We decided to go to MGM and avoid the crowds, and it was much much much nicer.

Anyone know if something special was going on aside from the Food and Wine Festival??

I know there is an Old Navy convention going on, not sure if that's why it was so busy. :confused3

I think the Beach Boys were giving a concert in the American Adventure.

Accurate report - Sat, Oct 7 at Epcot was a Christmas sized crowd.

The Eat to the Beat band last night was Starship, a terrific, but not the best knownl band around.

That being said, both the 7 & 8:15 shows were completely filled, something almost unheard of for either the fall or spring concert series.

You're right...Starship is not the best known band but they have certainly been around a long time. Jefferson Starship, Starship and I think they were Jefferson Airplane at one time too....Great 70's band...

If by Starship, you mean Jefferson Starship, or Jefferson Airplane, they are a very well known band from the late 60's.

Grace Slick was the lead singer. They actually have a song based on Alice in Wonderland.

Komen Race for the Cure was at EPCOT yesterday! I had 2 friends walk in honor of and in memory of....

Lmao I have that song on my iPod... :smokin:

I stood next to two off-duty CMs in a food line at F&W last night. One was complaining because they normally get to park in the cast parking lot at Epcot even when they are off-duty. Yesterday, they were turned away and told to park in the guest parking lot. I have no idea why this happened, but the one CM said that the CM at the cast parking lot said that this had been happening for the past two weeks.

Ah, White Rabbit . . . a DJ's best friend. :lmao:

Short song short song short song short song short song WHITE RABBIT!

I'm sorry, but Starship with Mickey Thomas was the most boring act I have ever seen at either of the concert series. The only reason I didn't walk out is I was in the first row and I would have been mortified to walk out in the middle of a show.

I was at Epcot today and there was some walk going on in the far parking area, probably the one mentioned, wasnt crowded in the morning but by 4:00 it was jam packed. I think its many locals going to the F&WF later in the evening.

It's also Columbus Day weekend. Epcot wasn't the only place that was crowded this weekend. MK last night was a mob scene. This morning at AK, I thought it would be better, but it wasn't. I knew Epcot would be crowded tonight, but we went anyway. There was a 75 min. wait for Soarin', 60 min. posted wait time for Test Track at around 3:30 or 4:00 pm. :confused3 I used to love October, but this is pushing me to consider only coming in Sept. :( I'm figuring that things will calm down a bit after tomorrow (Monday). I hope I'm not sadly mistaken.

:rotfl2: We saw them at the Scottish Rite Auditorium here in NJ. My wife and I both agreed it was the worse show we had paid to see. The young lady who was singing in place of Grace was surprisingly good. It was sad to see how bad the show was produced.

Actually the Komen Race was at Animal Kingdom and was over before any of the parks oficially opened.
