for decorating (and eating, of course):
candy canes
ribbon candy
the little candy sticks dipped in chocolate
gold and purple kisses
cherry kisses
Roches
if it is our turn for the family Xmas party, I will do more and then everybody takes some home with their Xmas cookies.
just for eating or giving:
Lindt
peanut butter trees
peppermint crunch junior mints (just found these this year)
hard candies
Baileys filled chocolates
Kahlua filled chocolates
Chocolate oranges
York patties (not really a Christmas candy, I don't think, but we only ever buy them around Christmas time)
My mom always buys the red and green spice drops, the ones that taste like cinnamon and wintergreen, not the weird mutated fruity-flavored ones that are always such a nasty surprise when you bite into them!
I'm not much of a candy eater, but I do like the sounds of those! Where does she buy them? Is there a specific brand? I love cinnamon and wintergreen..
Usually just the Andes mints, but now that everyone is talking about ribbon candy, I may have to buy some of that. I used to love that as a kid. It was always at my grandma's house.
Baileys filled chocolates
Kahlua filled chocolates Chocolate oranges
York patties (not really a Christmas candy, I don't think, but we only ever buy them around Christmas time)
We haven't gotten them this year yet, but it was either Walmart, Aldi's, or CVS.. Rather than running around looking for them, you could call? DD's MIL does that all the time so she's not spending an entire day looking for "one" specific thing..
We buy Jolly Rancher candy canes and then those Hershey Kisses wrapped in the red, silver, and green foil. I know they're just regular Kisses, but it doesn't feel like Christmas until I've had some!
