Aside from being spread-out, why the bad reviews on CBR?

Good, Bad, or Indifferent, CBR consistently has the highest occupancy percentage of all the resorts at Disney!

Thanks!

We LOVED it when we stayed there! No complaints at all. What we loved the most was the sandy "beaches" with the hammocks to just sit and relax. There are also playgrounds right in the sand, so the kids played while DH and I just relaxed. It was awesome. We really enjoyed it there.

We have stayed at the CBR a number of times, with last summer as our most recent stay. The resort is lovely, great theming. Nice remodeled rooms and food court. The food court has a nice selection. I had pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy that was really yummy. It could have fed 2 people. The resort is spread out, but the only village really out of the way is Trinidad South. One trip we were in the last building in Trinidad South. My walk to the food court was about 15 minutes. There are 7 bus stops but it really doesn't take that long. We usually walked to the food court for breakfast and caught the bus there. I always take my mug with me so we didn't have to go back to the room.

You're going the read negative things about all the resorts. So I think just pick the one that appeals to you.

Have fun!

I think it's true that you have to go with the theming you like. Our family does like WL, but that's where we've stayed for the past 3 trips. I'm thinking of a split trip...probably CBR for 2-3 nights, then WL for 5 nts. That way, the boys (DH and DS8) get their beloved WL, but we get to try another resort and see if we like it enough to have a whole vacation at a MOD in the future.

I really appreciate all the input!

We Love , Love , Love CBR!!!!

As to the Beach Club...never stayed there only walked through...
It seems so large...nothing like the intimate feel at CBR (yes CBR feels intimatethough it is large...that is why I don't mind it being spread out)

I would like to stay at Beach club one day...
reasons 1: I love the international entrance to EPCOT
2: kids would love Stormalong BAy
3: love the boat to MGM

I like the Beach Club. It's a great resort and has a great location. You can walk or boat to epcot or mgm. SAB is very cool. Best resort pool. The only downside I had in November was the lack of quick breakfast items in the morning. At the BW, it's a short walk to the bakery. But the Rip Tide Lounge didn't have a great selection in the morning. One of the things I like at the CBR or any of the moderates is the food court. The deluxes don't have the variety.

As to the non smoking rooms, all of the resorts at WDW have rooms that are just for smoking and non smoking, some buildings are just for smoking.I'm sure some CM's on this forum could tell us the right info on this/
