Ash & Lynns - POFQ - Bayou Bash

Wow, its time to plan again! here we are mid March and thats my queue to start my over over the top trip planning!! after all there is only 7 months until the trip!

well before i get too excited and too involved lets take a look at the troublesome duo (yes i referred to myself in the 3rd person)


Ash (Me) - a Disney-lover - i first encountered the parks in paris aged 7 and was hooked for life - finally visited my second home Florida when i was 11 and have been going yearly somtimes twice yearly ever since.

Lynn aka Belle - My Wife - A belle obsessed Disney fanatic realised her love for Disney when she met me (well i kind of forced it upon her - lol ) but she loves the parks and the Disneylife we lead because of it.


Over the years we have stayed in multiple of the resorts - AKL for the honeymoon, Riverside about 6 times! and AoA:LM room which was small and cramped! i like the moderate resorts, i tried to deluxe and it was nice for a treat after our wedding but i find myself obsessed with the Port Orleans riverside.

however this year we have decided to stay at the French Quarter as we have never been there to stay but loved it when we visited Riverside so we thought why not!.

Our trip is booked - we have dates - October 27th - November 12th

with our dates we know there will be MNSSHP over halloween week but for the first time ever! we can also see MVMCP but for the opening night which i know will be busy but as long as i can meet Jack as Sandy Claws like last year i will be very happy!

we also know its a great time to visist for the Food & Wine festival and its the anniversary 20 years! so thats another reason to go (we love F&W)

another reason we are going is that this is our 3rd Anniversary trip - three years have gone by far too fast.



i wanted to start this thread as a place to collect my thoughts, and plans coming up to the trip over the next several months i will keep updating the plans and things on here, posting our plans and our ADR our FP choices and much much more.

i found last year a trip planning page on FB was a great way to share our trip magically with others, all the parks now have wifi i am able to post all my pictures via facebook as soon as they are taken with the push of a button so people at home can follow along our journey (its also a great way to let your family in on the fun whilst your away - especially grandma, if somone can show her the computer)

so sorry for waffling on this opening post, i will probably edit this all later.

Sounds exciting. We'll be visiting WDW Oct 31 - Nov 21, so very interested in following along your planning. We hope to try MVMCP for the first time.

here are our first bash at some planning for our trip, just taking a look at arrival day, we fly from UK and should land in Florida approx 3-4 without delays.
hopefully from the airport to the resort, hoping to check in around 6pm so we can get a quick change of clothes and head straight to Epcot for some drinks.

problem with coming from the UK to the states is the time difference, that 6 hrs is a killer - so we plan to stay up as usual until late local time to ensure we sleep through the night. a few drinks around Epcot should do the trick.

as we will be tired we plan on hitting Mexico and the Festival center.
hopefully the drinks in the festival center will be similar as last years drinks as they were amazing especially the White Icelandic Ale.
