Woke early today for our trip to Cypress Gardens but whilst getting ready the local news advised us that I4 was closed westbound from junction 55 and traffic was BAD!! We wanted to come off at 55 and with no news of when it was going to open again, we changed days and headed off to Universal Studios instead.
Park was quiet again, we were on Men in Black on our own and walked straight on everything else, apart from Twister and Disaster, which wasn't open at first and when we went passed again, it had a 30 min wait. Official opening of Disaster is later this week.
We stopped off in the Sugar Sugar candy store and watched the guys in there make fresh rock with a smiley face inside. We got to try the first pieces and they were still warm, mmmmmm.
Lunch was at Finnagans but my cocktail man wasn't working and had to make do with someone else's Long Island Iced Tea which wasn't very nice - boooo!!
I had the Irish Cobb Salad, DH had the mixed grill and we shared a potato and onion web.
On the way out we caught up with The Simpsons, Bart was being naughty and Marge was getting me to pose!!!!!
After leaving Universal we were going to have a Cinnabon but we were both feeling a little bit full so we gave this a miss and headed to the Prime Outlets (old Bealls) at the top of i-Drive. Shopped for another couple of hours and on the way down I-Drive stopped off at Black Angus Steak House. DH loves the Chicken strip starter, so we had a starter each, I had a Bud Lite and we played on the machines at the bar.
At 7:30 we headed back to the room to watch American Idol and then we were going to go back out for some Bahamaritas. Neither of us managed to see the end of American Idol as guess what - we fell asleep!!!!!!
Tomorrow - Cypress gardens - fingers crossed!!!
