AS vs Pop Century

I'd like to go to Disney in Dec. We have stayed at the AS before. Just curious which you would pick and why. How does the bus service and rides compare? Thanks.

I have stayed at both All Star Sports and Pop Century.

I would pick Pop Century! It is really a nice hotel! It's brand new! They decorate it so beautiful during Christmas time! Huge Tree in the Lobby. There is a big gift shop that has EVERYTHING there.

The Bus Service:

Pop Century has it's own bus service. You will only ride with Pop Century guests the entire time. The All Stars share a bus for the 3 resorts. I believe that Sports gets picked up first, then I *think* Music, then Movies last. (It may be movies then music.) Then it drops off in that same order Sports first, etc.

I went to Pop Century this past December and was very impressed! I like it better than the Wilderness Lodge! And if you are going to be spending most of your day at the parks, you don't need to pay $200+ per night for a place to store your luggage! I didn't see a difference in mattress quality from Pop to WL, so why pay the prices? JMHO.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info. Do you remember how long the waits for the bus were after fireworks, etc?
