I've lurked some, but this is my first post of the day, so I apologize that I'm not multi-quoting yet. I just got off the phone with...well you know who it's going to be...WDTC...who else?

When I last called (or was it the time before that?) Kidani Savanna View wasn't available, but now it is.

Question (and I think I already know the answer):

Should I change (don't laugh now), 3 nights AoA Suite to 4 nights Kidani one bedroom Savanna View?

My 2 cents is to change...I believe that's what you really want to do...so why not? There is a world of difference between the 2 resorts and if you are not looking forward to the high energy of AOA, but if beautiful, relaxing Kidani Savannah is the draw, then move before it disappears! (I would)

I could, but when I had three resorts booked (AoA/YC/WL) DD thought that was one too many and didn't want to move that much, DH doesn't care though.

I really like the idea of a MK/Epcot split. Seems to make planning ADRs so easy. Of course using that theory no AK ... unless of course you do a AK/Epcot/MK (WL) split. Oh I'm no help at all!

I'm not Christine but I'm answering here. Trips are January 2013 and December 2013. Hop over to the Grannie PTR that she has in her signature.
I think I did hear somewhere that you were going to try and join us on the Jan trip but now maybe Dec too? WONDERFUL!!! Can't find the darn group hug smiley so pretend it's here!!!

Also want to wish you happy and safe travels. Looks like we should have warm/hot weather for you. Besides the graduation what other plans do you have? Spending much time in SF? I think we are heading up to Tahoe on Saturday for a few days .... I need some time at my beautiful big blue lake!!

We just did an Epcot/MK split during spring break so I would stick with AoA (for the novelty of it, if for no other reason) before doing that. Yes, you're a great help and thank you.

You're all ready to go to Cali. I would need lots of tissues if this were my DD's Ph.D graduation. Heck, I needed them at those sappy Veteran's Day ceremonies in elementary school. We're going to miss you tomorrow, but it's for a great cause. I can't remember if you're going to DL?

A sign?! Ooooo, I like that! I'm not very good at convincing myself to do something I have reservations about. But, I had no trouble convincing DD and DH to try AoA. I can be very persuasive and turn right around and be very "un-persuasive," which is what I might be doing at dinner tonight. In fact, I just got an email from DD (she's just in the other room) and she said she'd rather stay at Kidani than AoA. I think that's a sign, too

Sarah, I thought you mentioned it several pages back and we had a short "YAY, hope you can come" couple of posts...but I get lost some days in our happy posting that maybe it was Janet who told me...or both? At any rate, I would be thrilled if you could join us!

The RC trip is Thursday, January 10 -? Some are coming for more nights than others...pas being the least (3) and GG being the most... Pretty sure Janet and I are doing 4 ngts...but I might try to squeeze in 5.

The December '13 trip is with another wonderful DISer, Rosie - she and I were planning to celebrate our 65th birthdays - what better place to celebrate officially becoming a "senior citizen" . Rosie's 65th was last March and mine is not until late November...anyway - given we want to stay deluxe (a first for Rosie!) and do some special things, we decided to postpone until Dec 2013...we have a PTR (see my siggie)...GG joined the PTR, then decided to join the trip...Pas followed and now we have Janet as well! We are a happy, welcoming group, so please do stop by and visit...and of course, we'd love to have you come along for the Dec celebration too!

Sarah: Don't know why you would be confused at all about the trips ... there's only RCing left and right, Trips there and here.. ..

The RC trip is January (hmm ... do you have RPC on your mind?? ) and a separate December trip (with 3 grannies and 2 young'uns along) (okay I'm counting myself as a young'un since I'm not a granny!! (somthing happened last night .... some powerful force .. that have lured me in on that trip!! )

I'm not admitting to anything - yet. I do want to stay there - I think - don't I? But I've never tried a DVC and DH has never stayed at AKL. But, I've also never tried a Value. I know I'll go back to WDW, but each trip I think of it as my last so I panic with the split options.

I can't believe how long it took to get your cruise docs - that would have made me nervous. It won't be long now

I say (spreadsheet at the ready), "I think it would be better than AoA." Then he says, "Are you sure I'll like the food at AKL?" I'll remind him that he'll love it and that he'll have his own bedroom and bathroom, and then he'll say, "Why haven't you booked it already?" I think that's how it'll go down.

Oh no, bridge - King Cupcake - nickel tour... Ummm, Zebra Domes - ankole cattle - giraffes? Whatever happens, we'll work something out. Is everyone else over at the Poly?

And hope your migraine is better ... have been there many times myself over the years.....of course now those hormonal headaches are mostly a thing of the past (well, ever since going thru my own "change" ...)

And as for the SAHM and WOTH (working outside the home) dilemna ... both are challenging and rewarding in their own right. We are always here for venting!!

Speaking of HRH..she came home yesterday saying she wanted to stay at the Poly Here's a first for me...instead of calling CRO...I asked her why.. She said she didn't want a big building in her way of her seeing the castle. So she wanted the Poly lounge......when I explained we can see the castle from RPC since it is high in the air, she was OK. Mind you the real conversation took 45min We are at RPC in Sept.

August 11th Dessert party...want to laugh...it's DH &Is anniversary...we were married twice...yep I divorced and remarried the same fella..I was young, impulsive, stupid....anyway....how perfect. I forgot the anniversary...we celebrate our original never this one

Janet: Looks like we'll be crossing paths in the wind I arrive (on the 28th) as you leave booo.....but never fear, we are destined to meet one day!! I arrive at the airport at 1:10 pm....thinking we'll be settling into the POLY by 2:30ish.....at least that's the hope then hitting MK, it's open only until 7 pm....but that works for us, as we have a Cali Grill ressie that night at 7:45 pm....actually, I think Deena and I might be dining at the same restaurant that evening, so maybe a chance for a "RCer peep" hug/ Big Hello there

PAS: I say either POLY as HRH keeps hinting at ..... I would love a couple friendly faces in the lounge/ or pool/beach side .......OR, stay on the monorail loop and do your RPC as you have booked, that looks amazing too and you are only a quick tram trip away for a meet up // perhaps a fruity concoction on the beach for wishes one night or a meet up on MNSSHP day (Sept 30) if you decide to go.....we are renting a Cabana that day, so mostly lazing around the resort for most of Sept 30 afternoon (10-2pm) before hitting MK at 4 for some counter service dinner and the party

MM: HORRAY for your lucky news yesterday! You and DH will have a great time of it I am sure! You and HE DEFINITELY deserve the special treatment...being a recently retired-(after 22 yrs service) wife to a serving soldier, I know the sacrifice of the whole family....and this is something special to thank you for all you give and do!!! Enjoy!!!

As to online checkin....I don't know, I just think I prefer it the old way, due to staying Club Level....I like the slower, more personalized greeting/check in with the comfy chairs and the CM/Guest chit chat as we are going through our information....I have an inkling that if I did online checkin, that would be the time something goes wrong and I get the fallout!!! that's just me....if there is a chance for something to go wrong, it'll hit our family!!
I'll arrive on DME and then leisurely enjoy the old-fashioned check -in process with my BFF

On a side note, I just recieved an email from Disney today.....it's official!! They have recieved our money and the balance is at O!! ahhhh, that feels nice!

oh, and KOOK.... I vote AKL SAVAHNAH VIEW all the way!!!! can you say heaven!!!
