:joker: Hmmmm... Yesterday WDW Dining had loads of availability for our August dates. Then late last night WDW Dining did a scheduled maintenance. Now this morning not one restaurant -- MK, Epcot or DHS -- has availability on 8/19. Hmmmmmmmm. :scratchin ...UPDATE: As of late morning all is a-ok with loads of availability again. Ahhhhhhh. :goodvibes

pas130, I had yours and DD trip in my brain but without a month. Thanks for the reminder. ;)
Everyone had to cancel their ADRs to come over to my Birthday party :lmao: So where are you dining on said birthday ;)

pas, hold on to those WDW reservations. Right now everything seems far away, but once you get down there, see a few billboards, plant a few seeds in the kiddos minds...WDW will happen! I like you idea, leave DH at the beach with anyone who prefers that and you head off to WDW. Now then, have you started packing, or at least organizing?!!! Just remember, I can be packed and ready to go in less than a hour...we can stop and get Deena, then pick up Christine in NC :drive:! I know Janet would come, but I think she has guests for Memorial Day. SO, no worries, you can dump DH if need be and bring the rest of us...we all would be happy to babysit at WDW, right girls?!!!!
No packing yet..some shopping. Not ready to go, but SO ready to go. I can get my packing done on Wednesday after school, and be sitting in the car ready to go after dinner! So new plan is to leave DH on the Poly beach and takethe girls and sneak off to MK!!! I switched POR for Poly :dance3: I can always just rest a van andwe can make it a girls trip...with kids in tow....:thumbsup2

Sarah I LOVE Lancome foundations. I'm a freelance makeup artist. I haven't done it in a while, but I still have tons of makeup. I love makeup!

Deena I'm sorry things aren't working out where you are. Are you in Dior? I am obsessed with their lipsticks and the Amber Diamond highlighting powder.

Changing up to the last minute!!! :cheer2:

This sounds like a great plan, that way DH gets his beach and you get some Disneytime! Will it stick??? :scratchin

I hope so....almost booked RPC but it wasn't available :confused3
pas :cool1: for Poly! Fantastic idea. DH gets to enjoy his Poly and you get to enjoy MK!

He will be a happy man....swimming...Lapu Lapu. And I get my castle :upsidedow

sisyou can do a makeover on me & sarah :cheer2: not that she needs it...but I do

PAS: YEAH :dance3: for the POLY...you and HRH can hit WDW and DH can relax on the beach :) I say get all the POLY time you can whilst it is still in it's original state before all the construction/changes take place....I am strongly sticking to my POLY ressie, come what may, I am going to experience it for myself :cheer2:

Dani: I hate makeup, I never really learned how to put it on..... I need to be taught, maybe one day you will be able to give me a lesson for a nice, natural look.....I rarely, if ever put the stuff on!

I can't believe how fast the months are ticking by...only 4 months until my trip! Sadly, I kind of want to hold onto these last months thinking, planning, dreaming! I know how hard it will be to NOT have a trip to look forward to! I don't know what I am going to do!! it will be a hard time for me

Good luck LuvLuvLuv. :cheer2:

Thanks!

Goodluck on your interview...keeping your options open ALWAYS a good thing. How about comin to NJ and doing a homeconsultation! I need help. All expenses paid AND I bet it's tax deductible fo you....I am holding on to POR for as long as I can. Hoping to talk DH into it!!!

Thanks :) I could do that :) Have fun at the Poly--I can't deny it's a great move!!

Deena Do you both partake of alcoholic beverages? If so TWI might be the better option. I do think the snack credits would save at F&W

He does, I don't. I think I'll leave it room only/TIW just for flexibility purposes.

What amazing opportunities...good for you! I am another one who needs much help in that department! :rotfl:

Lol, silly. Once you get wrapped up in the business, and dedicated to a line, it's hard to leave.

LuvLuvLuv, good luck with your interview! Thinking good thoughts. Sometime we should talk makeup. I use a hodgepodge. Lancome, clinique and channel. I can't seem to find one brand that has everything I want!

I have a ton too, but I've been with Dior for a longgggggggggggg time. I think all brands have good products and it's okay to mix it up!!

I didn't know you did freelance!? Yeah, I'm with Dior. I've been wearing their stuff since I was 15. I use the Rose Diamond everyday, and have enough to last me the rest of my life :rotfl2: I need to stock at least 2 more Heather Rose lipliners, and one or two more Eye Makeup Removers and I'll feel more at ease. Maybe I can win them this weekend. I'm crazy loyal, and the whole situation feels really weird--but I'm 99.9% sure it's for the best.

October 17-20 AoA Little Mermaid Room is Paid in Full. Now on to bigger and better things like.... The Disneyland Hotel princess: No Club Level because DH requested to eat at Goofy's every morning, lol.

That is kinda what I am thinking too...sad how much building up on the monorail lately, plus HRH can sneek peek the Poly, and check out GF...;) I can sneak away when the kids go to bed and hit some rides too!!!
Thanks :) I could do that :) Have fun at the Poly--I can't deny it's a great move!!
:cheer2: Paid in full. WOOHOO!! DH said he'd take Mickey Waffles over CL every time :)

pas the Poly sounds like the perfect plan :thumbsup2

Yeah.... 3 nights Paid in Full was HALF of the DEPOSIT for a monorail resort. That's a concept I've never heard of :lmao: :rotfl2:

Your trip sounds good. Have you stayed at the Grand California at DL? I'm thinking of a 4 day trip to Dl the end of Sept. I would rather go to WDW... but I just can't swing a short trip to WDW like most people can. Dl is a 5 hour drive. We stayed at Paradise Pier 4 years ago. That was our last trip before being hit by the WDW bug. What are your thoughts on the hotels there? Do you have the link to your last TR from Dl. I would love to see it. Thanks. :)

What are your final plans???? My head is spinning from reading all your changes while I was out of town.:rotfl:

Your trip sounds good. Have you stayed at the Grand California at DL? I'm thinking of a 4 day trip to Dl the end of Sept. I would rather go to WDW... but I just can't swing a short trip to WDW like most people can. Dl is a 5 hour drive. We stayed at Paradise Pier 4 years ago. Here are my thoughts. I would always stay at a Disney Hotel. We stayed 2 nights PPH-CL-TPV, got upgraded to a suite. The view was breathtaking, and I loved watching WOC from the room. I thought it was nice, clean, and bright! Then we moved to GCV in a studio for 4 nights. The convenience of GCH can't be beat. When we left there, DH said he didn't want to stay anywhere else other than GCH/V and I agreed.

Of course, that was when I wasn't losing a job, or when I would plan accordingly. GCV is full, and I just can't swing GCH this time. I figured we would try DLH so we can say we stayed at all the hotels. I can't say if $ becomes available that I wouldn't stay GCH in a heartbeat.

I still have 1 1/2 days left to go on the TR. I never finished--life got in the way, but I'm going to finish it when I'm done with work in 2 weeks. It's wrapped up with my wedding stuff. It starts page 88. I had almost 2000 pictures from DL, and that TR takes a little time and effort--I just haven't had it in me. Maybe finishing it will help me get excited for October!!

I think it would be a great time with Carsland opening and all the newness!! DH and I particularly like that all of Disneyland, including quick service has REAL BACON!! Breakfast and burgers are just better there, lol. I know that was random, but WDW bacon really bothers me. :lmao:

:goodvibes Thank you love! Yeah, DH hasn't forwarded me the pix from his cell yet, I'll steal then today. Speaking of crappy moms...I'm letting HRH play hooky from group today. Which means no social skills group until we get back...she hates it (too many rowdy, loud boys) and I miss her..I need a cuddle day. Work stinks, getting out super duper late, and even my Katie had th mother of all meltdowns yesterday...broke my heart. We need family time AND vacation ASAP ::yes::

Still waiting on those pix .... And so NOT a crappy mom, cuddle days with the kids is priceless!

LOVE your latest RC to the POLY, seems like the perfect fit, POLY for DH, and the parks for you and the girls!

I should probably change my ticker or maybe I'll just leave it and do the same thing next year.::yes::

Who are you kidding?? :goodvibes Oh, maybe you mean after RCing you will come full circle, right?? :)

Oh, and my DS loved Summitt Plummit, I on the other hand rode Slush Gusher ONCE, never again!

BTW ... welcome back!! Happy you guys all had a great time!!

Sunset is my favorite and another CM mental block with names...she always remembers me, she has 5 kids, 2 share bday with mine....last call I found out I have 30 kids  they have the name names too....one is named christine....:rotfl2:

:rotfl: Wow, maybe Disney tacks another kiddo after so many changes!! :rotfl2: BTW, my CM today was named "Heart" :)

I have an interview with Estee Lauder tomorrow. Where I am now just doesn't have their stuff together, and I'm in need of a change. In the cosmetics world, they are a powerhouse that owns Clinique and MAC, and they truly have it together. It would be great, but I will be sad leaving the company I've put a lot of years in with and love their stuff. We'll see how it goes. I was also offered management in Lancome and Chanel--but I'm not feeling it. I guess I could always keep my options open. :confused3

Deena, good luck on the interview!! :cheer2: I'm sure you will ace it!! :cool1:

It's a beautiful day in NJ and it's going to be a spectacular weekend! :cool2:

A picture for today!

Sarah, Love your pictures! Thank you! And good to know its going to be nice on the weekend, got some fun plans with someone special on Sunday! :goodvibes

What are your final plans???? My head is spinning from reading all your changes while I was out of town.:rotfl:

Padawans ... my head is spinning and I've been here all along ...:)

Hi to all the RC peeps!!

Thanks. I just got off the phone with the Dl interline office. They offer 30% off to Airline empoyees. I booked 4 nights for my sons birthday the last week of September. The rates are high there. 1286 for Sv, and thats with the discount. The concierge level was 2856.:scared1::crazy2:I can't imagine paying a extra 375.00 a night for Club level.:confused3There are a lot of super wealthy people in California so I'm not sure why it suprises me, but it does. I'm shocked. No club level at Dl for us.

My Mom took us 4 years ago we had a suite at PPH it was nice. No idea what she paid. I'm sure the prices are lower than GCH. The location of GCH is better. You can't beat a 10 minute walk from your room to TSM.

Hopefully I won't be on the Disneylands annoying person list by Sept. They only have 3 hotels. Right? How many changes can I make?

I'm going to check out your pictures.

I get pins galore for Dl. I wish I could send them to you to use. :goodvibes

Janet Thanks. It was another great trip. My MIL is shocked we can survive 17 nights in hotel room together. I think Disney casts a spell over us and we all just get along. That's why I call it my "Happy Place". Why can't my home be as fun and drama free as Disneyworld?:scratchin

If I could find a wedgie proof bathing suit. I might try slush gusher or summit plummit.:lmao:

Hello RCers!

Two quick things:

Luv, good luck with your interview! And I vote for TIW. For us, it's an easy call given the ages and eating styles of our kids. And when staying CL, we really need the flexibility in ordering. We do a ton of signatures, but don't order full meals. And I like a glass of wine or two with dinner, and the 20% of everything is really nice. So we ditched the dining plan several years ago. I say TIW!

Padawans, we're going back to DL again next year. This year, we stayed in our Newport beach house the entire time and drove to DL for the day. I don't want to do that again, and the drive in reminds me that I only want to stay on-site at DL. Two years ago, we stayed at GCH for DL and then moved over to the beach house for our week in Newport - that's the way to go. GCH reminds me a lot of WL, but with an amazing location and way higher price tag. It's my husband's very favorite Disney resort (including both DL and WDW) so I'm not sure staying elsewhere will be an option! I'd really love to try PPH (Luv's reports and photos were great!) or DLH (great pool and the new rooms look nice.)

So I have no advice - I can't decide where to stay next year - but I'll resort change that one with you!

P.S. Thanks for all the Poly CL info! We've stayed at Poly in December and January several times, and I don't miss the hot tubs, so no problem there! I'm pretty sure we'll be giving CL a try!

I agree with you on the TIW. Mine does not expire until May 31 so I'm good to go for next years trip even if I don't have the Annual Pass. Thanks for the info on GCH. I know Dl like the back of my hand, but I have only stayed on site once. I think the reason I used to dislike Dl is because we used to do the all day commando 1 day trips. Now that we have been going to WDW and stayed onsite I realize it doesn't have to be that way. You can hit rope drop, and be back at the pool in 6 hours enjoying a umbrella drink. That is more my vacation style.

The cost was about the same as Poly. It was the cost difference between a non-cl and a Cl room that was astounding. I would never pay more than 100.00 a night to upgrade to Cl much less 375.00. Wow!!!! I would have a hard time justifying that. CL at pph is a little more reasonable. I don't think the pool is that great at PPh. The newly renovated Disneyland hotel looks nice too.

Growing up, DL was always a day trip from the beach (my 2010 DL trip with my husband and kids was my one and only on-site stay.) Once we started going to WDW in the early 80s and sitting by the pool at Poly in between visits to the parks, WDW always won out (and by that time, we were living on the east coast for 50 weeks per year and in Newport only 2 weeks per year - couldn't use beach time for DL.) So I hear you! And I definitely agree - DL was so much better during our 3-day, 2-night stay at GCH! Those CL prices at GCH are completely crazy but I bet you're right about the reason behind it. I've always been surprised about even the regular room prices at GCH because the rooms didn't seem comparable to Poly or BC - but there's probably a little sentimental bias in that statement.

So at this point, my plan is to wait for your decision and your report and go from there! (I thought about Newport in September - my parents are going for a couple weeks then and invited me, but too much going on with the kids here so I can't make it.) Really need to get there in the offseason again before summer 2013!
