*waves to all RCers*
Does anyone mind if I ramble on? Prepare for diarrhea-of-the-keyboard (apologies in advance)...
Just want to share because I'm keeping it between the 3 in this house... and you guys. We hemmed, we hawed, we waffled. We almost booked YC.
Almost. We ended up with BC-CL. I'm a failure at changing!

I'm stoked so thanks for letting me happy-vent.

(Not sure why I didn't pull the trigger on YC. Perhaps because we had a such a nice time at BC last year I'd feel like a dirty rat cheater.

)
We'd not planned on going at all this year -- due to no discounts and staying too long last year (crazy, I know!). There was talk of going to the Grand Canyon. Then there was talk of no vacations since we have to go overseas to visit family. Then, when we got around to really talking about it, the husband admitted that we simply enjoy going to Disney on vacation.

Just for smaller amounts of time.

We came to this conclusion after being able to convince ourselves that taking kiddo out for a few days of kindergarten would be okay. When I casually mentioned to the hubs we "should just go for a short vacation every year", he didn't even roll his eyes!
Concierge has been in touch already. I've only asked for a tiny room request. I booked 2 ADRs last night since I can't help myself; but I'm going to leave it at that since we'd rather take our chances.
We're only staying for 4 nights / 5 days. I'm tentatively planning on the following:
- Day 1: Arrival, DTD, Swimming in the afternoon, Boardwalk stroll in the P.M. Not sure where to lunch but Ghirardelli is on the agenda.
- Day 2: Walk to HS, 50's Prime Time? This is one of my ADRs. Not sure if I'll keep it or not. I loved that milkshake. Starring Rolls was quite nice though. Hmm.
- Day 3: Breakfast at Swalphin's Fresh Market; we were so impressed with this place last year. Swimming in A.M., Prerequisite nap, P.M. at MNSSHP
(We had such a flippin' blast doing this. I believe this is one of the reasons we've agreed on going back to Disney this autumn.) Not sure what to do about dinner.
- Day 4: Walk to Epcot. Drink and eat plenty of bad things.
- Day 5: Swim, Cry, Back to Reality.
Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something? I really do.
Kook: I've read your BWI-CL review! Thanks for posting that and linking to it in your sig. I'd been curious about BWI actually but mentally concluded it would be a bit too noisy at night with all the activity on the Boardwalk. I do love that whole area though. It was one of the reasons that sold us on the BC last year -- along with SAB and walking to Epcot / HS -- was being able to stroll over there at night.
