IF I bring my girls down during those dates, that's where we plan on staying!!!!! We could get on the same floor!!!!
Deena too!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

NO WAY!!!! :dance3::woohoo: I think it will be fun for the 2 of you...and brand spanking new!!!
Me too! And if I can keep the surprise.....:rotfl:

Talked to my daughter today. I asked her if she and her fiance wanted to have some time to tour the parks by themselves. I told her that would be fine if they did.
She said, "No, we want to hang out with you while you're here!"
Awww...made me smile. :goodvibes
That is sweet:hug:

Wish me luck guys. I'm going to ask of I can drop away at work and go to 3 days. 4 days is killing me and I feel like I'm full time. I hope my boss is willing to work with me. Fingers crossed!

Best of luck sis  I understand...4 days IS like fulltime, and you can offer to pick up the 4th day if they really need you (as long as they don't make it a habit...:flower3:

So I DID switch to BC CL for the whole trip :woohoo:

sorry kook, gwynne, candace:grouphug:

Although we are more MK peeps, this makes more sense this trip.

Marie

Dani Good Luck

pas love the Mother/ daughter trip at LM

Something told me BC would win out:banana:

Marie, so sorry to hear about your friend.

I would ask hypothetical questions like "hey if we went to Disney again would you guys wanna try a princess makeover or a pirate one?"

Agreed, Dani! We do this all the time just for fun - at this point, I think I could ask any WDW question, and they would never know! :)

My issue is my wanting to make everyone happy.

Pas, this is how I ended up with the 6-nights/6 different resorts split stay! Now, I'm thinking that if I can take the boys for a Poly/CR/YC stay in August, we can get the February trip down to Poly/GF/One Epcot Resort. But there is no way I can get everyone to agree to one Epcot resort, so that's kind of a silly idea.

Gwynne, SO sweet. I know I'd be thrilled to hear that someday!

So I DID switch to BC CL for the whole trip :woohoo:

sorry kook, gwynne, candace:grouphug:

Pas, yay! I do love the split stay, and think a Poly/BC split could make a comeback for you. But if you're settling on one, then BC is a great choice!

Minnie&nana, pixarmom & pas130,Thanks for the sweet words!

pas130,
The Beach Club is lovely! And CL the whole trip, well that's fabulous!:dance3:

SO glad I found this thread :goodvibes It is perfect for me right now!

I am looking to book a vacation this summer. We have visited the past two summers, first at ASMo and then at POFQ (which we LOVED)! This time I will have a discount, and so I really want to book 1 or 2 nights at a Deluxe resort and stay at either POFQ or POR for the remaining few nights.

I really wanted to book GF, but hearing about the construction makes me hesitant to book it. I don't want my first, and maybe my only (as it is rather expensive for us), stay at the GF marred by construction. The partial closings of the monorail also means I won't be able to enjoy something that is a major convenience factor/benefit for this resort. I have read from many members who are regulars at GF that the ambience and atmosphere is not the same, and is less tranquil with the construction. The ruined view at the fountain pool is disappointing. I've visited GF before but have never been over to this pool. The overall peaceful and gorgeous environment of GF is very important to me and I just don't want to sacrifice it. That being said, this discount is quite significant and in the future, if I were to be able to secure one again, it would not be as high as it would be this stay.

Alternatively I'm looking at BC/YC/BWI. I'm considering a split stay at BC/YC if we go for 2 nights just so we can experience both (we have visited both for dining but never stayed), OR if I can pick between them I'd prefer that because that way the stay will be more relaxed and less hectic with having to pack (or rather, not unpacking since we'll be there only one night!) Otherwise BWI appeals to me because of its proximity to the Boardwalk. Overall, the theming for each appeal to me in different ways (which makes it all the harder to choose!)

Finally I've considered the Poly too, but as it is one of the oldest I feel like I might enjoy a newer resort more as I've read reviews about the rooms there being outdated and in need of renovations (although there is tons of praise for the outside).

I have no preference for proximity to parks, as if it is less convenient to go to EPCOT than MK if we stay at GF/Poly, for example, then I will just go to EPCOT on another day.

Please help me choose!! If we don't pick the GF, this might be our only deluxe stay besides returning for GF. However, I've always admired the Deluxe resorts and if I can get a discount again I will certainly try to stay at a Deluxe for 1 night again next time :cloud9:

P.S. Is there any construction going on at the other resorts I mentioned apart from GF?

I would save the deluxe for the end of your trip. It's really hard to downgrade.

T.G.I.F!!!

I am so happy for the end of this week!!!! It's school vacation week in NH, so my week has consisted of work, shuffling DD7 back and forth to camp at hours that are not quite conducive to my work schedule...and to top it all off, DH has had to stay for all late flights this week, so he hasn't been getting home from work until 7:30 pm...:scared1: Oh well, it's Friday, it's almost over.

DD7 is in a musical tonight, very excited to see that!!! And, then tomorrow I have a bridal shower to attend and then DD7 is hosting a sleepover party for her birthday that will result in 7 girls (including ours) sleeping at our house tomorrow night!!!:headache:

I can't believe my baby will be 8 on Monday - she is growing up into such a wonderful person - I'm so proud of her!!! (sorry for that little bit of gushing).

Oh, and 79 days till Disney!!!! :woohoo::yay::banana:

pas love the Mother/ daughter trip at LM

Something told me BC would win out:banana:
:goodvibes Thanks Sheila! It took a lot not to tell HRH yesterday...it's gonna be a long 5 months :lmao: I think it's time to hunker down and start mapping out the drive, buy more bathing suits....;) HRH was saying she didn't want to go back t Florida Wednesday (it was a bad day for her) yesterday we looked at BC pics for an hour

Pas, this is how I ended up with the 6-nights/6 different resorts split stay! Trying to settle on one. DH said 3 resorts is enough...but Myrtle beach doesn't count, it's not in Fla...right??? :rotfl:

pas130,
The Beach Club is lovely! And CL the whole trip, well that's fabulous!:dance3:
Thank you!!!

Could have never predicted that one....:upsidedow
:lmao: Ya I know....:rotfl:

SO glad I found this thread :goodvibes It is perfect for me right now!

P.S. Is there any construction going on at the other resorts I mentioned apart from GF?
Welcome!!!! Yes this is a great place for you right now!!! :cheer2: Stay awhile, we ar very entertaining

OK...I have MUCHO LOVE for the Grand....but now is not the time to go...JMHO. Poly is also beautiful, but it seems you may like the decor better at GF? Yes? Plus with the monorail issues, it seems the MK area overall is a little disruptive. CR has some construction, but it is on the 14th floor, not really affecting the resort too much..kook was there recently...WL also has very minimal construction, as does YC I think....

It might be best to do your deluxe stay at the end of your trip like dani mentioned...at BC/YC/BWI. BC/YC are very close to BWI so choose the resort you like the best. I would choose BC or YC for 2 nights...If a balcony is important....go with YC...the interior decor is both light and bright, IMO not too much difference. Being they are connected and same amenities...either one you pick would be fine. I just prefer the SAB pool over Luna park at BWI. That said I like the decor at BWI better...(more like GF) BUT my DH felt BW was "too busy" where YC was quiet at night...let us know what you decide :goodvibes

I would save the deluxe for the end of your trip. It's really hard to downgrade.
How did the talk with your boss go??? Or did it not happen yet:hug:

I can't believe my baby will be 8 on Monday - she is growing up into such a wonderful person - I'm so proud of her!!! (sorry for that little bit of gushing).
No apologies.....I totally understand....and Happy birthday to your DDprincess:

Awww... that is sweet. Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes

I guess I'll have to just be in love with the beach I got married on at the Polynesian!
I love your sig wedding pic!!! :thumbsup2

I never did give in and book GF or CR two resorts I have dreamed of staying at since Our first trip in 1989 and I do regret it. Trying to save a buck here or there. Even now I still hate to part with my money so it is debatable whether or not I will make myself happy ever. Mother's curse to make others happy first.
It is time fr you to do CR GW Deluxe... :rolleyes1 ...if I remember correctly it was you who put this little devil into my brain (and it won't come out, lucky for me)!!!! :dance3:

Would have loved to stay there, but could not resist BLT points...studios are barely larger than a POP room (what was Disney thinking on that one?), but it will just be two of us...and now that they put sinks in the bathroom, it will be nice to try a new resort. (Can you believe when the resort opened the bathroom sink was in the kitchenette?? yuck!).
Yay for BLT!!!! I am so happy for you. I didn't know the original bathroom sink was in the kitchenette.

pas Did I read that you are trying to abandon August?! :scared1:
We lost one :guilty: You may be gaining a Poly pal, though... :rolleyes1

Thanks to all my friends here for the support and prayers for my friend Sue. I am saddened to report that last night they took her off of Life Support, and she couldn't sustain breathing on her own and passed away.
I know she had a lot of problems in her life, and she's in a more peaceful place now, I will remember her gentle spirit and be glad I knew her and she was in my life, regardless of how tumultuous it was ..... She is no longer suffering. I think of her and still hear her voice as I only talkied to her a month ago....it is hard to believe she is gone, but God must know best.
Thank you so much for your support, and kind words, I could feel the love jumping off the page....my RCer friends are the best!
Marie, your words here are beautiful for your friend's remembrance. It is evident that you truly were a good friend.

I just changed to Sept 27 to Oct. 1st LM It was 50% less than 1 night RPC WITH 25% off!!!! Just for HRH and I.
Oh my, it is going to be one of those days. it took a WHOLE POT OF COFFEE to process the new acronym LM. LM will be so much fun for you and HRH!!!!!

My DD wants to cut back to 30-35 hours rather than 40. Not much a change, but it will feel like heaven for her. This is the bright idea of a new manager. Bet he has never done their job.
Wish me luck guys. I'm going to ask of I can drop away at work and go to 3 days. 4 days is killing me and I feel like I'm full time. I hope my boss is willing to work with me. Fingers crossed!
dani & Christine, I hope the work situations will work out. :)

So I DID switch to BC CL for the whole trip :woohoo:
OK, I am keeping up this time. :coffee: BC sounds like the perfect fit for you and MIL and fam. :thumbsup2

But there is no way I can get everyone to agree to one Epcot resort, so that's kind of a silly idea.
Which is how you ended up at 4 resorts in the first place, right?! :rotfl: It is really hard for us to pick when we decide to do a Epcot resort trip. We really do enjoy ALL of them, so we rotate. Your Poly/CR/YC stay in August is such a great mix of resorts. My recommendation is Poly/GF/BWI since a SAB resort was just in the mix for you in August. BWI rocks IMO and I love the theming at Luna Park (yes, even the clown pool :clown:) and could stay there all day with the visual stimulation.

SO glad I found this thread. It is perfect for me right now! I am looking to book a vacation this summer. We have visited the past two summers, first at ASMo and then at POFQ (which we LOVED)! Hi stefani_, BC/YC split would be soooo much fun. That is something that I would do. :thumbsup2 Plus you can try out both Resorts for a future stay. ;) I would stay away from Poly and GF for your trip THIS visit, but definitely put them on your “short list”. POR and POFQ are great resorts... I am glad you are a fan, too.

The talk didn't go well, but I'll get a final word today. My boss doesn't see it as being in the company's best interest for me to make up my hours on other days.... ya know, cause he personally pays me or something.

Magic you thinking of switching?!

Candace very exciting!!! Tomorrow is our double digit dance. :yay:

Magic, amazing mulit-quote!!! :cheer2:

I feel bad because every time I try I wind getting pulled away from the computer and so even more missed posts by the time I get back here.:sad2:

 RC'ers!! Hope it is a great Friday and fabulous weekend!!:grouphug:

Yay! :yay: I have internet today and DD's computer!

As usual I don't have any RCing to report .... just hanging out with you lovely ladies! :grouphug:

I am planning another long walk on the beach today. Yesterday I walked from Marina del Rey to the middle of Venice. Is there anything better than walking along the water's edge??? I've never spent much time in Marina del Rey ... more of a Newport or Huntington Beach kind of girl but I'm discovering that I really like this area .... besides it's where my DD lives!!! :cool1:

I did look at airfares the other day for my October trip. :scared1: My ADRs are pretty much done ... still keep getting an error 500 message when I try to book Whispering Canyon. :confused3 DH is going with me this trip .... it's the first time in over 3 years. He'll probably only stay a week and then I have a few days of me time.

Hope everyone has a magical day!
