Saw that too. No more waffling for me. It wasn't just the report itself---it was the pictures that really did it in for me. I know there's construction, but put of the magic there for me is the beach. I guess I'll have to just be in love with the beach I got married on at the Polynesian!

I'm sorry but the GF is a mess!!!! I'm not sure why anyone would fork over those prices for the GF right now. The views are all blocked, the pool/beach area is surrounded by walls...ugh! they should be offering discounts to people willing to put up with it. I'm sure it will be amazing once the construction is done, but yuck!

Ok, I'm convinced. GF is out. Poly is back in. I have to do 2 MK resorts so that's a no brainer. Let's hope the site is back up soon (why is it ALWAYS down when I want to ch-ch-change??) and that what I want is available.

BC is sooooo gorgeous!!! I'm tempted to switch my whole trip there to, but I really feel WL calling...more like a vacation...I'm from New England, the BC is like New England...I could get that anytime...I'm sticking with WL...I've got ressies at WCC, AP and the Cub's Den now...I figure if I keep burying myself in ressies there, I will not switch, I will not switch.

It is a sign for me. I'm holding tight for a bit now. See how easy that was. Told you my arm didn't need twisting that much. Since we are only doing 2 nights, if I hate it it's not like I have to live with it for very long.

I vote checking the price for all BC. If it's a ton more, keep the split. Maybe add a little more BC for an even WL/BC split. Is that possible?

Funny....when we lived in Boston/Cambridge (forever) WL held no interest for me because of the wooded dark theme....but Poly drew me the most...I wanted palm trees and tropical feeling a million miles away from NE. When we stayed at BC, it just did not do it for us...rooms were so small (don't laugh - we had only stayed at CR and Poly in rooms about 476 sq ft, whereas BC is 380) and it was like being in the northeast.

But now that I am in NC, WL is always a top contender....except for the room size. Janet I stayed at VWL and absolutely loved it...rooms are not huge, but large than the Lodge..and it is so peaceful over there...we really loved our stay. Am now itching to stay in one the WL refurb rooms, so the RC January trip at WL will be perfect!

So far, I did tack on 2 nights Myrtle beach on the way home..if DH decides to stay at the pool...I will be chillaxing on the beach with my girls I got so aggravated last night. DH said woods, we can go to the poconos ad do the woods... Uh not wth a geyser and CL They'll be doing a lot of pool time...so SAB may win out....

Oh, I forgot about CL. I wouldn't want to let that go either. And MIL has her own room? Is this better for the fam, or are you ok with her sharing space with some of the kiddos? I know for us we were happier with my mom in a separate room and we had a really close relationship.

pas I think making everyone happy is impossible. I have only myself and DH and we disagree. He was gun ho with trying AOA until I made a bad mistake and told him there were no coffee machines in the LM rooms. That sent him right back into his resort snob mode of he will not stay at a value.

If I were you I'd stick with WL, don't forget you are just a boat ride away from CR and the monorail too.

Your DH will love WL once he steps into the lobby and gets that "WOW" feeling!

So BC 2 rooms

Deluxe CL me, DH, DD7,6, & 5

Standard CL- MIL DS11 DS3

Most of the time MIL & DS11 may hit the coasters together (DS3 may wind up with DH &I=I know only 5 in the deluxe room...but you know....)

WL 2 connecting CL rooms and separate room for MIL....3 rooms total

So both resorts CL

pas I think making everyone happy is impossible. I have only myself and DH and we disagree. He was gun ho with trying AOA until I made a bad mistake and told him there were no coffee machines in the LM rooms. That sent him right back into his resort snob mode of he will not stay at a value.

If I were you I'd stick with WL, don't forget you are just a boat ride away from CR and the monorail too.

Your DH will love WL once he steps into the lobby and gets that "WOW" feeling!

pas you know what is funny back when I worked and paid for our trips I would consult DH and The boys but not till I had my mind already made up of where we would stay based on my budget.

In all those trips I never did give in and book GF or CR two resorts I have dreamed of staying at since Our first trip in 1989 and I do regret it. Trying to save a buck here or there. Even now I still hate to part with my money so it is debatable whether or not I will make myself happy ever. Mother's curse to make others happy first.

Agree, impossible to make everyone happy...go with your instincts and don't look back!

Sooo, I hate to say it...but WL Lobby doesn't wow me. It just looks big and cavernous. Lots of nice nooks and crannies though and I do like that. Janet and I had one day in a Lodge room, after our VWL stay...we much preferred the Villas....hallways are wide and carpeting so pretty.... the lobby over there is cozy ...and there is another room around the corner with window seats and more comfy chairs...my only issue with the Villas is the lack if any really good view.

Oh!! Ordered myself a new Mickey watch this morning!! Darn, if I could not find a promo code for the disneystore.com Usually treat myself to a new Skagen each trip, but haven't found one I like since 2008 because I already had my fave in 3 colors. I haunt all the shops that carry Skagen looking for just the right new one to take home. Today's purchase was a cheapo one...navy blue and white stripped grosgrain band. Little bigger than I generally like, but again, will be fun for summer.

More on the RCing in a bit after I get kiddo #3 on the kindy bus and kiddo #4 down for nap. But this just resonated with me so pardon if I overstep

DH and I see a marital counselor at least once every six months for a 'tune-up" if you will. Just to keep our marriage strong and happy. Anyway, a few years ago I told her that I was feeling like I was always last and felt a little resentful that nobody put me first. Turns out, after digging a bunch it was sort of my own fault. I got in such a habit of putting everyone else first that they felt awkward or uncomfortable doing things just for me. Once I broke the cycle and allowed myself to be first sometimes, the whole family followed along quite nicely and I think we have found a good balance.

All that to say. You are just as important. You are the glue holding your family together and it is ok to do things JUST FOR YOU! Because really, in the end, the whole family benefits if everybody feels important and whole.

Blah, blah, blah. Enough dime store psych. I wanted to say it, but feel free to ignore.
