Aaaaand yep! I'm back at POFQ. Rooms opened up for my whole stay, so I changed back.

Not much resort changing here, but indecisive about a quick extra trip. I booked a short AKL stay with our APs - thinking about taking the kids for a few days next month before our non-Disney family vacation. Our oldest is the only one who knows about the idea right now. I've been stalking Poly rates, but nothing pops up with either the AP discount or the Disney Visa discount on the villas. So I'm thinking our great AKL pool view rate ($215!) is meant to be and I should follow through with the plan. My husband said that now, I have to take the kids, because (in his words) . . . "the bracelets arrived."

Still we have an early arrival 10a and late departure 7:45 pm so we really have 5 days

I believe this is the right spot to post this. For our upcoming trip in October this is how its gone so far. We first booked POFQ (wanted to try it out, loved POR). Then booked CR TPV instead (Nostalgia reasons). Then changed to WL CL(First time CL try). Then booked split stay WL CL/POFQ (WL for MNSSHP nights, POFQ for DTD days) Then changed to Poly TPV (Just because we wanted to try it). Along comes grandson number 2. Money reallocated for other trips. Changed back to WL CL/POFQ stay. Military rates finally come out and we are staying BC at 40% discount, yeah! I figured we were done. DW wants to add a couple days. Rooms at POFQ for the additional days available but when I call AA to change our return flight date they say $648.00 per person to change, the initial cost for round trip was $312.00 per person. I told the lady on the phone no thanks we will stick with our original return date lol. In the mean time while planning the additional days the DW decided we would use the two additional days of our 7 day tickets to just relax the mornings prior to MNSSHPs and not go to any parks. Now that we are back to our 7 days with 7 day tickets and two MNSSHP tickets and the original plans to go to a park each day before the MNSSHP to make good use of the 7 day tickets we lose any relaxing days before the party nights. Unless, I go purchase two 4 day military salute tickets. I'll get the 4 day park hopper tickets, we will use them the 4 non party days, two MNSSHP nights covered - relax and goof off around WDW those 2 mornings, we had 1 day left on some military tickets we used in November 2014 that are now good, with the extension that came out this month, until December 2015 that will cover the fifth non party day. We are planning a February trip to use the 7 day tickets so that expense wont be lost anyways. So, as of today our plans are BC 7 days (First time, Excited!) 5 Park hoppers and 2 MNSSHPs. And I think we are done, I hope, Maybe...

Haha, I haven't been around here much lately since I picked my resort and wasn't going to change. However in the past I too have played the change a go round game.

Keep an eye on the theme park boards. Usually you can get in like 3 or 4 pm on MNSSHP OR MVMCP. someone usually posts shortly after it starts each year if they allowing early entry and time.

That's a great rate!!! Our "bracelets" arrived this week. Dh says - I have plenty of these, can't I just get a $10 credit instead??!!

So I'm not sure if I reported here but I booked a trip less than three weeks away (leaving one week from today). We rented points from someone who needed to use them by the end of the month and gave us a great deal. We are staying 7 nights at VWL in a 1 bedroom. No changing allowed since the points are rented. I got seven day PH from UC, got 5 $142 one way fares from SW (had a credit of $10 pp which offset this a little) and used my Chase sapphire points to book one way tickets on Delta (grand total oop was under $70).

Since we still have plane tickets booked for October, I'll upgrade the tickets to APs when we get there. Hoping Dh doesn't lose his mind over this but it's cheaper than buying separate 4 day hoppers in Oct. speaking of October - still no ressies made.

MM - you'll love the cruise! We rebooked in April to go back next Spring Break - all of the Disney Magic but at a much more laid back pace!

Boring here, too. We are hoping to make a couple of trips in 2016. Maybe go wild and get...AP's!!

We're 8/10 to 8/13! I'd definitely count your trip as 5 days! But another night would be great - wonder if something will pop up for you in these last weeks. Are you continuing to check, or settled in entirely with your existing dates?

Really enjoy the cruises too. Will be hard to beat our 2012 Wonder to Alaska cruise, but our oldest is lobbying for a Disney cruise when he graduates from high school. Have fun MM and basketlacey!

basketlacey, Disney math has worked out in favor of APs for us over the past several years. We just have to resist the lure of the "extra trip(s.)" With AP resort rates and a decent airfare, quick disney trips end up being far less expensive than a local weekend away.

Thank you! Very excited to return. We've stayed at AKL once in pool view and once CL. CL was great, but this is a quick budget trip and our older two are actually less interested in CL than they were before. They like the flexibility we have when not staying CL. Our youngest, on the other hand, remains a huge fan of CL anywhere and will definitely miss the "snack room!"

I saw you are holding steady with BC! I so love those new rooms and SAB is fantastic in the summer! Our dates are August 10-13. Last year, our quick trip was All Star Music for that great $67/night rate. It's available again, but for $99/night. So then I started thinking about CBR for a little more, which led to the pool view AKL idea for a little more than that. I've stopped looking at Poly for now. Maybe in February for a split stay during the Princess Half Marathon.

Your vacation is just about here! How very exciting! Today was our FP day. Got everything we wanted (mostly)... Also got all checked in. DD and I made a paper chain and she loves pulling off a link each day. She's very excited to visit "Innie's House" (AKA Minnie mouse!).

I don't think I will make anymore changes. We're good to go!

Okay gals, I need to give to you! My hunger came back like a vengeance this week! I was totally not expecting this. Now that I feel this way, I think I'm going to add the dining plan back. Many of the desserts look TOO good to pass up!
