I nixed the black scarf. I didn't think I had enough yarn since it was such thin yarn. I had to take my mil to an eye doctor appt today that happened to be in Wal Mart. I bought some pink and I'm going to use that.

I'm not changing....not changing. Although with the amount of character meals my kids want I really should rethink CL. Lol not for the food but for the meet and greets. Maddie wants stitch which means Ohana breakfast, Kate wants Daisy so Tusker House. DH wants crystal palace..... I must do TH Kate never asks for anything. DH isn't wanting Ohana so maybe a girls breakfast hmmmm....

I hope every one is doing well today, despite it being Monday. This weekend was pretty drama free, which is good. The only incident of the weekend was my fil's trip to the ER on Friday. When we had a recent storm, the tin roof of the neighbor's dog house, flew into the roof of our storage building and fell into the yard. Well, the junk man came by Friday, asking if he could have it. My fil went out to help him, and the junk man jerked and swung it in such a way that it cut both of my fil's legs. The cut on his left leg went down to the bone. Other than that, it was a quiet weekend. I took my mil on Saturday to get her mammogram and run some errands.

No new changes on my girls only trip, but I did empty out the Disney piggy banks. I sent my friend the money to buy our park tickets and I bought our MVMCP tickets for December 4th. I can't wait!! Only 33 more days until I'm on a plane to Atlanta!!!

Hello, all! I hope the week has started well for everyone!
I am FINALLY getting to sit down and have some time to myself... at least for the moment. My sister is getting married next month and I hosted her bridal shower 2 Saturdays ago, then my dad came into town (and he needs to be kept occupied so lots of running around), and DD7 had lots of little things come up so it made for a busy few weeks. I am just NOW finishing the edits on our MM photos from last month! EEEK!

Character meals are what kept me out of CL the last trip... I think when the girls are older it's worth it, but for now, we do DDP and 'slum' it in regular rooms.

No more news on Japan, but I got tired of being in limbo on planning hte move so I went ahead and planned our trip to Tokyo/Disney by booking the military hotel in downtown for the week after school lets out. I feel silly booking when we aren't even in country, but the rooms fill up fast and the rate can't be beat! Plus, as DH had to resignedly agree, I'd rather have it and cancel than wish we had it.

Looking at their crowd calendar, it looks like the week we are going is about a 5-6 / 10 ... but they NEVER have days lower than a 4 and often have 8 and 9 throughout the year. We are surprising the girls with the trip -- we plan on telling DD7 it's just a trip around the temples and when we get into Tokyo not let on we are staying 6 nights and going to Disney 3 or 4 of the days. Should be fun!

I have had to do a ton of switching for Dec trip but apparently have gotten to the point where I'm enjoying the fact my ILs are figuring out they should've gotten everythign nailed down LAST week... stuff is disappearing or gone! There seems to be some weird thing in the system for their rooms that my TA is looking into (I swear it has them under a QS DP even though we're booked at a mod) but tech support and my TA are going back and forth about it. I tell you, I'm not a fan of all the technology glitches in the system... I'm going to write about the ticket thing but want to wait to see what pans out from the DP discussion first -- if it's wrong in the system, I want to let Disney know it's a good thing I stopped to read everything CLOSELY and it shouldn't be my job to do so! Seriously, tired of wasting time verifying all this stuff!!!

Must repeat daily, not changing we did 1900 breakfast in August, loved it. We've done dinner there too a few years ago, love the step sisters.
When we stay CL, the only ADRs we get are for lunch. Our first CL stay we had DDP won't do that again!!!

Thanks y'all. Being the stubborn man he is, he didn't want to go to the ER. Luckily, my mil and DH were able to convince him. Due to circulation and swelling issues he has, we've been making him keep it up as much as possible. He hates not being able to work because of it, but he has no choice since his even more stubborn wife sets up his work schedule.

Glad you are so close to your trip! I have a friend at SoG right now and I love seeing her photos -- the new pool looks great!!!

I can't wait!! I would love to one day stay at all the WDW resorts, and staying with my friend will be the only way to do that. We haven't even gone on this trip yet, and my friend and I are already talking about doing a Disney cruise with our spouses together.

Ok, been re thinking one of the resorts for my trip next April/May and hoped I could talk it through here. The Yacht Club & Beach Club Villas part of the stay is fine, don't want to change them, but I was also planning on a few nights at the Poly (garden view room) since it's late April I was hoping some of the Poly would be finished (mainly the lobby and Trader Sam's). The construction would not hugely impact things and I'd be happy enough there (I've been for a visit for meals since construction started). But if it's not done and Trader Sam's and lobby aren't finished, should I wait to stay there till it is? Wilderness Lodge is only across the lake and I've never stayed there or even had a meal there yet. Club level there is like only about 50 or 60 a night more than garden view Poly I think. Course there's also Contemporary standard view and I'd still be on the monorail.
Course, if I can get an annual pass room only discount then that opens up a whole new set of possibilities (namely club level at a more reasonable price provided they are available).
For now I'm still holding on to the Poly reservation I've made. But rethinking and rethinking and waiting for annual pass discount offers to come available for then (that will possibly open up even more questions for me tho lol)

Forgot one. Animal Kingdom Lodge. I was only there once, at night after dark to have dinner at Boma, then returned back to the resort I was staying in at the time. I'm thinking that till annual pass discounts come out, then see. When all else fails I still have my Poly reservation.

Poly lobby should be done but maybe not SAMs yet. My choice of WL and poly I like poly better. Rooms are much larger and I love the monorail.

However the CL at WL gets great reviews.

I think it's too soon to decide. You just have to wait until discounts come out!

Personally, I would go with AKL CL. We stayed at the AKL on our last trip and I loved started out the day on the balcony animal watching as the rest of my family got dressed for the day.

No new changes about our trip, and no trips to the ER for the family or any major catastrophes so far this week. I've spent a lot of time today working on color coded daily schedules for the December trip. I'm just enjoying this fall weather. I checked our 10 day forecast and the daytime highs range from 80 F to 66F.

I would love to try AKL sometime, but the Poly is so convenient. Compromise - WL CL. LOVED our stay there and really wish we'd stayed there the whole time (started out at POR). The buses seemed super quick and easy (compared to the bus from POR that took forever) and there was the boat too which we used to get to and from MK sometimes.
