I tend not to jump into the threads that point out rude, unacceptable, and other obnoxious behavior at WDW, because for the most part, if it doesnt effect me, the less stress the better. But as this situation unfolded, besides being amusing for us to watch, continued for some time.
We had a late breakfast ADR at 1900 Park Faire, for our last day. DS, his wife, baby, and DH and I were seated clear to the back, where the doors open out to the lobby near GF café.
The characters were awesome, Mad hatter scared my DH as he came flying, shouting and running out the doors, we chatted with Mary Poppins, and the baby had some very sweet moments with Pooh and Tigger too . 1900 has an incredible manager named Tim; very personable, funny, and turns to; bussing tables, visiting with guests, he does it all, and very well. He was wearing a pinstriped suit, and claimed to be Poohs bodyguard. ( I suggested bouncer ha ha)
About halfway through, a lady and her two children entered the back door, cut between the tables being visited, and got Tiggers autograph between his table visits. My DIL noticed, and said that lady TOTALLY butted in front of that family! who of course had paid to be there. By this time they had snuck (sp) back out the door. As soon as the handlers backs were turned, they were all back, trying to get Pooh to sign, who kept trying to tell them he would come to their table (which of course they didnt have) The mother was outraged, and ranted at some time to her son that Pooh wouldnt do it when Tigger had. They then regrouped, and actually walked into the main area of the restaurant, where they split up into 3 areas. At this point we lost sight for a moment, then the mother and daughter were led back through by a waitress, all the time insisting but my son is in there! Once again, unbelievably, she and her daughter went back in, and came back out WITH A DISH OF CANDY from the toppings bar. They sat down, apparently waiting for the son to come back. At that moment, Tim came striding toward the door, (My DIL said Sic em, Danno!) While we were unable to hear the exchange, he appeared to handle it professionally and well.
But seriously lady! All that for an autograph!
