I titled this post as Day one, but I will start day one when we hit the parks for the first time. I will not go through the pain, frustration, and anguish that was our 20 hr drive down.
Day one:
Magic Kingdom, honestly can I start anywhere else?
It was a Friday and it was the first time down with our DD's wheelchair. The bus drivers were wonderful with getting us on and off the busses. I was extremely pleased to see that the bus drivers got their magic back as far as I could tell. Sammy was our first bus driver that day and he was the best- sing, joking around, asking where people were from...he was great.
We spent a majority of the day at MK and rode all we could, but exhaustion from the previous days road trip left us still tired and worn out. We went on a DVC tour then back to the resort (Port Orleans - Riverside). DW wants to buy into DVC and wanted some questions aswered before buying. The resort was ok...quiet and quaint. But I felt that if I had not gotten the great discount that we got...I would have not felt that fuzzy warm feeling. We had stayed in ASM a few years ago and I felt that our room at POR was not any better (even a lttle more dirtier) than ASM. But we got a good deal on it and we felt content.....yes content. The food court was pretty good, ate there a couple times. Never made it to Boatwrights..did most of our dining at the parks. The lobby though was very nice.....very nice. We turned in pretty early that night so there is not much more to go into. Stay tuned for DAY 2!
