Day 5
breakfast - ASmovies food court.
DBF and I decided instead of wasting wishes we would grab a quick breakfast at the food court.....and I had not gotten my Mickey waffles yet.
I order Mickey waffles with strawberry topping and a side of bacon. It is belgian waffle in the shape of Mickey. .....very good. They put the strawberry topping on the side...which is a really good idea because when it sits on top it makes the waffle soggy . The strawberry topping is whole strawberries. The bacon was just normal bacon.
DBF had the pancakes and bacon. Pretty good but nothing special.
All in all ...the food court has good food quick...at a reasonable price. I have heard some complaints about the prices of food at the food courts but for the quantity and quality I think it is comparable to a Perkin's type restaraunt.
rating 3 3/4
Price...I believe both entrees were about $5.99
Lunch
DBF was in the mood for some type of beef on a stick type thing so I suggested Marrakkesh (sp)
Warning - if you have any kind of nut allergies....your choices are limited.
I ordered the beef brewat rolls for an app. and dbf ordered the berber feast. The app for the berber feast was a salad....which he enjoyed but again nothing special. The beef brewat rolls were kinda like a spring roll with beef, with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on the outside. It was an interesting flavor but pretty good. We both orderd the mint iced tea...which was very refreshing.
Right after the apps the performers started. There was a musician and a belly dancer who was really good. I was surprised because there were only about 4 tables in the restaraunt being served.
For the entree I ordered lamb cous cous. There were so many other things that looked good but alot contain some type of nuts which I am allergic to. the lamb was very tender and the cous cous good. They really give you alot of food. DBF's entree consisted of a chicken kabob, lamb in a type of sauce and vegetable cous cous. I tasted his lamb and it was really good. He really enjoyed the whole entree. The chicken kabob was inhaled so fast I didn't even get a chance to taste it.
After the entree, they bring you out a bowl of mixed fruit which was also inhaled very quickly by dbf. For dessert I ordered the apple crepes. I really didn't care for them. The spice was kind of overpowering. There was cinnamon and something else that I just could not place.
We both had the moroccan coffee also. It was really good and strong flavored. If anyone knows what causes this particular flavor let me know. I wanted to ask the waiter but forgot.
rating 3 1/2
I think I would enjoy the dinner menu better because there seem to be more choices.
I believe the cost was around $65
dinner - Le Cellier
I had heard so much about this restaraunt that it was on our must do list....especially since dbf is a steak lover. We did not have a ps and this was the only restaraunt we had to wait for without a ps. We wanted to eat around 7:00 but there were no openings until 8:10. I knew dbf would really enjoy it so we took that time....knowing I would miss illuminations...oh well.
Our server Koreen was the best of the trip...very down to earth and friendly. She seemed more like an old friend than someone we had just met.
We decided to start with a canadian beer. The just started serving a canadian unibroue. She said there were three types. I don't remember them all now but we chose Maudite. There is a story behind each one and she told us the story associated with this one.
For our apps I chose asian wasabi shrimp cocktail. Dbf chose the cheddar cheese soup. My shrimp was presented very differently with a toppled over chinese food carton spilling out the shrimp. I would probably choose a differnt app next time. The shrimp were small and it had a teriyaki kind of taste to the cocktail sauce. If you enjoy the flavor of teriyaki...you would probably really enjoy this but I wasn't crazy about it. The cheddar cheese soup was really good but not to die for....in my opinion. It is really good if you dip the pretzel bread in it though.
For our entrees I chose the special which was surf and turf. It was a filet mignon and a lobster tail. It was really good !!! I would've preferred the filet a little less done though. I ordered it medium and it was more like medium well. I also ordered a side of asparagus. It was pretty good but I prefer the thinner asparagus. DBF ordered the herb crusted prime rib.....which he absolutely loved. I don't remember what came with his though. Mine was served with red potatos...which I didn't try because I was just too full.
For dessert we decided on the creme brulee....which was out of this world and we both had a latte. This was the best latte we had had yet.

This meal would have cost about $130.
