It seems like Florida, Dis Con and summer was a very long time ago:( I also look forward to seeing many of you in that same yard in July:D Of course it will not be cold and snowy;) Yuck I hate winter and need my Dis friends and Disney World fix lol:)

Hey Patrick!!! I know what you mean. I miss everyone so very much.

I can not wait to be there too..Planning on attending three of these meets, and of course yours is included...wouldn't miss it for the world. Poor Ellen she has no clue what she is in for...lol. Hey Ms. Mackey you got your ressies yet? We need to decide on Barb's too...

You have SNOW, Patrick? Kindly keep it up north, please! :D

I'm looking forward to seeing some Chicago DISers January 26th, and at various DIS meets in the next 6 months. :)

Well I am not going, but I certainly can see plenty of snow in my backyard! :p Have a great time to whoever is attending!! :) Certainly sounds like lots of fun!! :)

Patrick...you got a good Kareoke place picked out? Marsh and I have been pract. on the phone. If not that then definitely a dualing piano place...those were awesome weren't they? We had such a blast!

Counting down the days to all these great meets!!!

I am not familar with any Kareoke places locally, that does not mean they do not exist. Truth be told the one at Swan was the first one I ever went to. May be my co- organizers could look into that as an activity for one of the evenings, I will not get lost this time:rolleyes:

Glo - be sure you don't miss "A Taste of Chicago" in Grant Park. YUMMY!!!:)

Co-organizers Patrick?? You mean you are not the head honcho of this shing ding? Do not worry Patrick, this time we will go looking for you for sure...ok? ;)

Nancy, the tour director better keep that in mind... :D

I am not sure does not the taste normally end on the 4th? I have not gone down in a few years.

I'm reasonably confident that Taste of Chicago will run through the weekend of Patrick-Con! :D

Rumor has it that the snow is now headed out way and then on to Boston! Yech!!! I think I am feeling the effects of gloomy days. I had a particularly bad day yesterday, which resulted in me sitting in the dining room crying my eyes out. Good grief. Now today the sun is shining, although it's still very cold. I feel better, and can't imagine why I fell about like that. I think I'm one of those who NEEDS the sun to survive!!!
I sure miss you all and could have used a giant group hug yesterday-which was part of why I was unhappy! I can't wait till we're all together again. Glo, if we can't find a place for Karoake or dueling piano's, we'll just make our own right there at Patrick's!!!!!! I'm so looking forward to seeing you all during the summer. Now if only it would just here! BTW, got my room in Oakbrook!!!!!!! Yippee!!

Barb I Know I am one of those people who need the sun, winter is brutal. I hope your day is better sending you hugs.:) We could do karioke here, sure, I could look into getting one of those Mr. Microphones:D !:p :jester: Glad you got your room, makes me smile :)

Thanks for the info, Chris and Brian! :) Hey, I was there at the FIRST annual Taste of Chicago in 1981! :D

Barb, I'm assuming you have your reservation at the Embassy Suites, right?

Nancy- was it not called "Chicago Fest" back in those days? I rememeber seeing the original Blues Brothers there during thier time- and many other groups:D

So, is this now an official Patrick Con event????

Hey Brian!!!!

huh? huh??

I think hitting Taste of Chicago for Sunday lunch might be a good idea. Those of us staying at the Embassy Suites will get a nice cook-to-order breakfast, so lunch doesn't have to be particularly early.

Chicago Fest sounds vaguely familiar, Patrick, but it was a LONG time ago! ;)

Chicago Fest it was Patrick!! Jane Byrne was mayor I think (or Michael Bylandic). I was at that first one, too. Haven't been down there for about 15 years now (we always used to go on vacation over the 4th).
Just a warning , if Sunday is the last day, it will be REALLY crowded.
Corinne
