As an ADULT, would you pee in a pool?

This poll came up on another forum I visit, and I was SHOCKED at how many adults pee in swimming pools like it's no big deal. Lakes, ocean, etc. I can understand. But a pool??? In fact, the majority of responders do pee in the pool regularly, or had at some time.

Since this is a much larger forum, I have to ask...do you think it's okay for adults to pee in a swimming pool? The poll is anonymous, so please answer honestly!

No, I sure don't pee in the pool nor do I go in the lake/river or any other body of water natural or man made. Hell I have problems going when I'm alone in a bathroom let alone around tons of other people.

Nope, not even the lake, although lake michigan was looking really good at the Chicago air show when the only other option was porta potty full of poo and oreo's.

I had to wait in line twice because I'd never seen the inside of a porta potty before and I wasnt brave enough the first time I opened the door.

Nope... my mom has a pool and told me when I was little that all pools have a special dye that turns red if someone were to pee in the pool. I fell for it and still have that fear so there is no way in hell I would chance it

As someone who has spent far, far too many hours in a pool...while it was snowing, raining and the deck had a thin sheet of ice...

(I've also the amount of chemicals that actually go into a pool--plus the fact urine is sterile, and I wouldn't worry too much about it. Then again, my water polo team's favorite motto was "Water polo: it's your wildest dreams come true, a toilet and a drinking fountain all in one)

My seven yr old niece was visiting and I took her to a friend's pool to swim. I truly didn't tell her the water would turn purple if you pee in the pool but when someone else suggested it I didn't exactly refute it, lol.
Later my 22yr old dd was going to come swim too and I heard my niece tell her "Ashli, you ought to know that the water will turn purple in the pool if you pee in it". I was

Yes I have peed in our pool but it was just one of those things and me being lazy at the time . I just super shocked it and thought what the hey no one else will be in it for a few days.
I also have jumped out of a pool peed right there in the grass and then jumped back in. This was common practice at a good friends house and his big in-ground pool.

Now when I was racing Jetskis we peed all the time in our wetsuits mostly to keep warm in the cooler months. This normally not a problem as we are in the ocean,bay river or a lake. My only mistake once was I had on a Drysuit and wasn't thinking peed felt warm then felt warmer and finally realized I just soaked myself in Pee wit no way of it diluting or getting out.

I wouldn't pee in a pool because I would be afraid that someone would see the yellow cloud around me The ocean is a different story. Our water here is so dirty that pee is probably the cleanest thing that gets dumped in it.

All the people who are grossed out by pee in a pool though must really just avoid pools. Do you think that every single kid in the pool actually gets out to pee? Isn't that what all the chemicals are for?

Yup. Imagine being in one of those smaller resort pools and getting some fo the water in your mouth.

Or just don't think about it.
