Aruba II Exchanges - Airfare

We're going to put in a request for a week at the Marriott in Aruba for Jan-Feb 2005. I assume this far out we stand a good chance of having it come through. From those with more experience in travel to the Caribbean, are there any secrets to getting a decent airfare? Do you go through MS, or keep an eye out on the search engines for airfare sales. Does anyone know which airlines service Aruba? As experienced as we are at DVC resorts, we feel inadequate in planning this trip.

I'd say your chances of getting a 2 BR for that time thorugh II are slim to none. A 1 BR slightly more and a studio, a bit more likely to come through. Aruba is tough for air fare, usually running in the $500-600 pp range from what I've seen with rare posts of the mid $400's. Your best bets are FF miles and charters.

Look for a direct exchange. There is actually someone on the rent trade board now offering 2004, ask about 2005.
