Art's Shuttle from Canaveral Resort to Port - NOT good

We made arrangements with Arts Shuttle service for ground transportation from the Ron Jon Resort near Port Canaveral, to the port, prior to our DCL cruise. They stood us up. After calling Arts to inquire about the driver's whereabouts, the receptionist was rude and most unprofessional. She hung up on us instead of putting us on hold, while she checked with the driver. We had to call back to find out what was going on. Again, the receptionist sighed and acted like we were such a bother.

Needless to say, we ended up having to call a cab and got to the port much later than anticipated on busy Easter weekend. The folks at Ron Jon said service at Arts has gone downhill and they will no longer recemmend Arts for transportation to the port. We had originally wanted to use Travelinx, but they had no openings until well after noon.

Hope this saves someone else the inconvenience.

Thank you.... you just saved me a HUGE problem. I won't even call them. We are coming from Tampa and I am tryiong to figure the easiest and most cost efficient way to get all 11 of us to the disney ship in Feb. I could even leave from Tampa airport if I had to. Any ideas?

I'm booked with them in just over 2 weeks to go from Airport hotel to Port Canaveral and back for a group of 11. Now I'm having second thoughts...any good recent reviews for Arts?

BTW..I find the telephone receptionist very short both times I called...but I tried to attribute it to being extremely busy.

Please let me know how it works out if you use them and also, if you don't (since we have aparty of 11 also) let me know who you use. Thanks!! PS Have fun!!

We had a wonderful experience with Art's back in January. We were staying at the Radisson and called them to take us to KSC. The driver gave us his cell # and we called him when we were ready to go back to the hotel. He arrived within 30 minutes and took as back.

He was very friendly and told the kids a lot of history of the area and he had been on the Wonder many of times and gave us some pointers on that too.

I will use them again.

and had a great experience! Both DH and I would use them again. We were surprised to see this thread. From the receptionist booking our reservation(whom I spoke with 3 X), to the driver taking us to the Raddison at the Port and the driver taking us back to MCO, everyone was pleasant and professional. Our cruise was May 22-26th.The drivers were waiting up front with a sign with our name on it when we arrived @ MCO and also when we debarked from the ship. Each part of our trip from MCO to Port Canaveral took less than 1 hour. After we had a problem with a lost credit card (of course the one that we charged Art's to), they waited a couple of days after my return home to inform me that the first charge wasn't going thru. I was embarrassed and after apologizing , asked why they waited to inform me, she said that they understand how hectic it was returning home from vacation and wanted to give me a chance to recover. I gave them a new cc# and everything turned out fine. :flower:

Thanks for the good news about Art's!

I did have a question about payment. I gave them a credit card number as a deposit. Do I again give them a card when they pick me up, or do they already have the information to make the charge. Also...what do you recommend for the "tip"?

Hi I'm the original poster. We had been staying at Ron Jon in March '05 when Arts stood us up. Since that March trip and the Arts fiasco, I was wondering where to stay before our next cruise. Would we choose Ron Jon again and use Travelinx (booked a week in advance) to get to port or should we save money and stay at the Radison?

The Radison looks pretty darn good to me for saving money, but we might miss the ocean access of Ron Jon. Still, what a great price! Then, after doing a little research, I discovered that while Ron Jon has a contract with Travelinx service for their guests to get to port, I believe (and I could be wrong), that Radison uses Arts as their main service from hotel to port. I guess I am wondering if Arts is more dependable with Radison since that is who they may have a contract with.

I'm glad some are able to report good service with Arts, but it is not only my bad experience with them, it is the many bad experiences Ron Jon has had with them, according to the consierge there, that will prevent me from ever using Arts again. But I suppose if I ever stay at the Radison pre-cruise, I may end up on Arts anyway, if that is the only choice (the taxi ride we ended up with was terrible - don't want to do that again). I don't know. The Airport Hyatt is looking better every day... ;)

Good luck!
