Have heard no word of late, so still waiting for the likely bad news re: AP's future. I talked to a guest relations person who had all three emails I had sent to different people, including the person I know at AP; obviously, they keep tabs on such things as they were three separate emails. Of course, the person with whom I spoke had nothing to tell me other than there has been no official word on what was going on at AP, "Even I don't know." He thanked me for my passion and cautioned about using sources other than official Disney ones. Well, then, buddy, you should give us actual information.
On a related note, we just returned from a trip to DL where we had dinner at Napa Rose. Now, that was a truly Signature experience and should be the direction AP goes. People will pay for quality, for consistently excellent food and experiences. Make AP a true dining destination, and the seats will fill up. I can't imagine this will happen, but it would be the way I'd go.
