The smokey portobello soup at AP is the best soup I have ever tasted in my life! We're going back for some more this December! DH & I liked our entire experience at AP - atmosphere, service and quality of food. DH's King Salmon was a better choice than the scallops I ordered. Other people rave about the buffalo strip loin. We were celebrating our anniversary (the entire trip) and they served us Champagne and their warm fruit cobbler ala mode to share. Since we were paying OOP this was a nice surprise. We give AP :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My sis, her DH and my DH and I all ate there pre cruise in July. It was the BEST meal we have ever had outside of V&A. Wine, service and food were FANTASTIC. We had the venison pot stickers, the mussels, the salmon special that day, the beef tenderloin and the buffalo. Awesome. You can't miss on this one. And the place was dead. I thought that was weird for July but I usually go in the winter so I dunno....

Another big old :thumbsup2 for Artist Point!

I flipping love this place. You'll probably get a few dissenters coming around, complaining about service and whatnot. I can imagine the service goes a bit downhill during busy season. I was there during a pretty slow time, but the restaurant had a good number of people there. Service and food were great, fell in love with buffalo meat here.

People have been saying the food is becoming more generalized, that the famous berry cobbler has changed, and that the dining plan is ruining things. I'm going in January and I still have high hopes.

Add us to the big fans of Artist Point list! :thumbsup2 Hands down the best meal from our Christmas list last year and probably the best meal we ever had at Disney. It is both DS & DH's number one requested restaurant when we return to the World next year.

Artist Point is one of our favorite restaurants on site. I really love the grilled buffalo steak. DD loves the salmon off of the kids menu. DH really enjoyed the wild boar and DS loves the chocolate puzzle dessert (what can I say - he has the sweet tooth in the family!)

I've never eaten at Artist Point but I am dying to try it. That being said, have you considered California Grill? We ate there last year and it was amazing!!! Best food I have had at wdw and amazing views. Again I am not trying to sway you from Artist Point, just putting it out there.

I am doing CG Christmas eve, last year we did the same thing and loved it now I am really looking forward to AP 3 sig res I am all excited, is it December yet? :rotfl2::thumbsup2:santa:

Lol I know how you feel, I've been going "Is it January" since April...and I'm from Buffalo NY, I never want it to be January!

Glad to hear such good reviews!

We're in WDW in October, and AP is the ony meal we're paying OOP for. We're taking 15 other people, for our wedding reception! I hope it's just as amazing as you all say!

I am sure it is, so far everyone on this board has sent me in the right direction when I have asked a question about dining.
CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding :):thumbsup2

DH and I LOVED Artists Point. Hands down the best everything we had. My only complaint is we had been awake since 3am (drove in that morning) and were exhausted d by our 7:15 ADRs so things for us are kind of hazy, the drinks we had probably didn't help though. So far it's our only "must do" However are planning on doing the the deluxe next time so CG, Bistro De Paris,Jiko and Crticos are all on the list.

we will be celebrating our anniversary there 04/07/11, and from the previous posts, we should have a great meal!

I loved AP so much that I am going back this Christmas, everything about it was perfect, the food, the server, the atmosphere, I can't wait till December gets here :santa:

If possible I've fallen in love with Artists Point even more than I was. Things seem to have changed back to the better, at least for the time being.

I had the buffalo and so did my friend, but we had different sides. We both ordered our steaks medium rare and they were perfect. She got the sides that were listed with the buffalo on the menu which were Black Diamond cheddar macaroni and cheese and apple cider glazed brussels sprouts. She said the sprouts were really good and she enjoyed the mac and cheese. I tasted it and it was ok, there's bacon in it and that's really all I could taste. I got the sides that usually come with the salmon which was marble potatoes (think smaller multicolored fingerlings) and what I believe was a leek, and the best sauce on the planet, Pinot Noir beurre rogue. Holy Crap. I'm usually a pretty plain eater, no sauces or gravies more often that not. This stuff was amazing, I dipped my meat in it, my potatoes in it, I asked for more bread just so I didn't leave a drop of it on the plate. I would have poured it over ice cream, given the opportunity. I had to resist asking for a to go bucket so I could put it on everything else I ate. Yes, it was that good :cloud9:. The cobbler has come back to life too. My friend got it and it comes with housemade blackberry ice cream. I had the apple torte with caramel and housemade vanilla ice cream. Best ice cream I've ever had, it was dense almost like a gelato, and very creamy. The flavor was out of this world. The cobbler was hot and very berry-y (?) and the ice cream just made it better. The apple torte was tart and the vanilla ice cream and caramel just made it better.

When you say the cobbler has come back to life, is this like the original cobbler or the newer one where they put just a little bit of fruit and some crumbs on a small saucer? The original one was huge and THE best dessert at WDW! I would return if they had that again....even if the rest of the meal was still mediocre!

when Iwas there this past December it was the little dish, I couldn't believe how they cut back, I remember that big dish, I guess that is a sign of the times
