I have not read too many reviews about Artist Point on these boards. We are thinking of trying to book this restaurant on our upcoming trip. Does anyone have any opinions?

DH and I had a wonderful meal there on our first trip. I would highly recommend it and are thinking about going again this trip.

We have gone to Artist Point many times, and have always been very impressed. The food is excellent... especially the mushroom soup. Their selection of wines is good too.

I don't know if they do it anymore, but they used to have a prix fixe menu option that was a lot of fun, as you got to experience a number of different courses, each paired with specific wine choices. I can't remember if that was still an option the last time we were there though.

This restaurant is very good! Cedar plank Salmon is awesome! You won't be disappointed!

We loved this restaurant. We all felt like royalty. Our server noticed that DS5 had only eaten the strawberries off of his fruit salad and brought out a whole bowl of only strawberries. It was the only restaurant that DS asked to go back to in June.

We thought it was ok...not great. Our favorite meals were LeCelliar (twice), and Jiko.

Excellent food -one of the better Signature IMO, but we've never been disappointed with any WDW Signature restaurant and we've eaten at all of them. Never went to V&A though. We're thinking about it in the Fall.

Just browsing this board, but I have to comment: Artist Point is our favorite restaurant on property! The Portobello Mushroom soup is out of this world! A beautiful restaurant, in a beautiful resort with awesome food and service.

If you imbibe, wine flights with dinner are interesting, fun and tasty. Also, be sure to arrive early to enjoy a cocktail in the Territory Lounge.

Enjoy.

the buffalo steak is probably the best thing i've ever ate at disney. i work for the company, eat out all the time and have been to every restaurant on property except Victoria and Albert's and it is my absolute favorite place on property!

AP is not close to comparing to V&A but I think it's decent enough. I'd like it better if it felt more upscale.

We've enjoyed Artist's Point on multiple occasions. The mushroom soup is excellent as is the berry cobbler for dessert. Go early and take time to explore and enjoy the Lodge.

We love AP. We love it so much that we had their Smokey Portebello Soup served at our wedding at WDW last fall!

I don't like salmon, but I LOVED the salmon they serve.

Let me say one more time - Love.

While I agree that the buffalo steak is wonderful, it has been removed from the menu (or, at least, it was gone from the menu when I was there in Oct 2008 and again in Feb 2009). AP is still a great place though. If the menu looks appealing to you, give it a try!

Good, but not the best on property. For the signature restaurants, we liked Cali Grill much better. We even liked the food at Kona and Le Cellier better.

Thank you for all of your opinions, reviews, and pictures! I think we're going to give it a try...we really like Jiko and California Grill, but want to try something different on this next trip. :yay:

Artist Point has been steadily going downhill, in my opinion. The last time I had the Buffalo steak and it was not good at all. Sorry to have to say that, too because we fell in love with AP the first time we ate there. The second time, it was just ok and we thought it might have been an off night in the kitchen. The last time we ate there, it was just not good at all.

one of our Favorites. We eat here on EVERY Trip for the last 7 years. Very relaxing dinner. QUIET!! Not crowded. Excellent Service. We are working our way thru the menu. We've never had anything that was not good, but some things were better than others. The pace here is calm and slow. This is not the place to get a quick TS meal and head back to the park. There is also a dress code (not much, but it does keep the muscle shirts and cutoffs out). We see children here, but they are normally very well behaved.

The Buffalo steak was no longer on the menu when we were there in Sept, and looks like it is still gone.

I am very glad this is a 2TS restaurant on the Dining Plan. It has not experienced the down grade in quality we feel has happened to Le Cellier.
