MK After Hours crowds

I've never really paid attention to the After Hour Parties as I'm more a mid-afternoon type gal. Anyways I recently saw a Youtube video where the headline to the video wsa "Visting a Closed MK". At some point in the video they claimed to be at the MK for an After Hour Party and every single shot the entire park was empty. They showed clips of them on different rides and every single time there was no one else around.

I know Disney doesn't release numbers, but could someone compare the crowds for the Christmas Party to the After Hours Party. I get they are totally different, but we last did the Christmas Party and thought it was very busy.

I don't have any actual numbers, but I did After Hours at MK in February 2024 and loved it! It was not crowded at all. It was pretty cold that night, so that may have contributed to the low attendance. The only times we saw other people were at the bigger rides like Tron and 7 Dwarves and the fireworks show at the castle. Everything else was pretty much walk-on and empty. I'm going to my first MVMCP this December, but I've been to MNSSHP several times and the crowd levels are at opposite ends of the crowd scale. MNSSHP crowds are more like a regular park day, if not worse. I'm expecting MVMCP to be just as crowded. I would absolutely go to another After Hours if it falls during my trip.

I’ve done Xmas parties and an AH party very recently, and they’re totally different. The park is empty with the AH, it was amazing and I’ll be doing it every trip from now on as long as they’re offered.

I plan to visit MK on a day there will be an After Hour event (Spring 2026).

Should I be overly worried about the crowds during the day?

I don't think it will be that crowded during the day - but it might be a little more crowded than the usual after 7:00pm... Any experience is welcome!

The MVMCP parties are almost always a sell out. After Hours events have a very random crowd level. AH events are also offered at different times of the year.

AH events don't really impact crowds during the day, and many day guests don't even know that there is an AH event scheduled for that day.

We tried an MK After Hours party and it’s definitely the best event for low crowds. My favorite part was watching the special fireworks with plenty of room. Everybody spread out - it was glorious! The night we went HEA played at 9pm at normal park closing time and that was packed as usual. AH started at 10pm and held Enchantment fireworks at 11pm.

That is a bucket list item for my wife and I.
We’ll be at BLT for 3 nights in April 2026, with our two kids (6 and 2) There will be an After Hours at MK during that time… very tempting…
