On our next trip to WDW, either 2008 or 2009, we will definitely be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I would like to plan one special dinner for DW and I, and from what I have heard, Artist Point is a great restaurant. Anyway, I'd like to make ADR's for about 7:30 PM and get the kids room service. Our DS's will be 15 and 12 then. I guess my question is how is Artist Point? Is the service quick? Is the food good?

Thanks! :wizard:

We really like Artist Point. It's good food that's not too fru-fru. I'd say that the service is appropriate. It's not as quick as a more casual place but that's probably true with most of the Signature restaurants. It's a place where you can linger a bit over your meal.

i will be there in a month and am looking forward to trying it.
will post a review.

I keep a lookout on the reviews for them. :goodvibes

Artist Point is wonderful - one of my top 5 places at WDW. The decor is kind of broing, but the food and servise are wonderful. The wine list is especially good, featuring wines from Oregon and Washington.

Great restaurant! I've always had exceptional service. Just remember, this is one of those places where they don't rush you out. It is a slower-paced meal.

Hi there,
After much research on these boards I also booked a nice dinner at Artist Point for my 30th birthday. I was really torn between AP and the other fancy restaurants...they each seem to have their own beautiful themes and yummy menus.
I settled on Artist Point for a few reasons:
1. The menu sounds very appetizing and it's gotten good reviews
2. It seems almost guaranteed to be quieter than the Coral Reef or Cali Grill, based on reviews I've read (we don't have kids) - I was interested in a calmer experience for my bday.
3. We're staying at the WL and I figure I might as well get the full experience of that resort this trip.

When I get back I will post my pictures and review!

AP is wonderful. It's hard to find a better meal on Disney property (with the exception of Vicki & Al's).

Service is attentive, but I wouldn't characterize it as "quick". No, its not bad service, they just want you to enjoy the experience. Its intended to be a nice relaxing meal.

We have a favorite server there, Pok, who is wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list.

We have tried AP twice and were disapointed both times. Food and service were lacking both times. We have had much better food and service at California Grill & Jiko.

Artist Point is one of our favorites. We especially love the salmon.
