This yr. AP & GFC will be a first for us. I have been told AP food is rated very highly. GFC the food is fine. We wanted the GFC on xmas eve because the hotel is just beautiful at xmas rime as well as the FWL. You can find menus a www.intercot.com, look to the left side of the page. Here at disboards I go ro resorts and then click on to dinning to find menues and reviews. I am sure many people will suggest AP, have fun.
These are two very different dining experiences. GFC is a place to go eat while AP is a place to dine. You may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide.

I agree with the others in that they can't really be compared. But to say which 1 I would choose for myself, it would definately be Artist Point. Why? 3 words... Grilled Buffalo Striploin .
Two very different places but food is good at both. For dining I love AP the Sirloin Steak was excellent. I loved the muzzels. Service was great. I like GFC for breakfast myself.
I haven't eaten at GFC, but one of my few stipulations from my husband if we should return to Disney:
Another dinner reservation at Artist Point.
We both loved it, the smokey portobello soup is fantastic. I loved the salmon (didn't so much care for the side of bread pudding), my husband loved the buffalo strip steak.
OK, we were on the dining plan, but we did dine at Artist Point 4 times! Every meal was wonderful. When we plan our next time at Disney, Artist Point is one of the things we really look forward too. Eat there if you like good food.
i've had a good lunch and a good dinner at gfc...just avoid their cheese soup unless you want liquid cheez whiz with extra salt (ugh nasty). they have a dessert plate with 3 or 4 small different offerings on it that's great, i had a good steak there for dinner and a great lunch salad. it's much more of a casual place to eat as compared to artist point.
We love Artist Point and ate there twice on our last trip. The smokey portobello soup and the bison short ribs are awesome. My only issue with AP is that they don't have the best desserts on property, but the meal and the service are top notch.
