Artist Point last week

We went to Artist Point last Wed. night. We've been several times - we go each year for our anniversary plus we've been a few other times, so this is about our 15th time or so.

I am posting because last week it was SPOT ON good. It is always at least pretty good, but sometimes over the years it has been better than others. Last week was GREAT. The smokey portobello soup was great, last time it was a little not as good as usual but this time it was mmmm. I had the copper river salmon which was sooo good. I've had copper river salmon one time outside of artist point, and it is still really good, but if you take that really good salmon and a place that makes salmon really well and you put it together, well it is like God made a fish out of butter and cooked it in chocolate bacon. I like that now they have some of the more popular side items as things you can just order. I usually always got a side of macaroni and cheese and now you can just order that. My wife often gets a side of the sweet potato gratin and now you can just order that. So I think that is great. My wife had a steak and it was very good. I am not sure who the chef is there now but it was really good!

Oh DH and I LOVE Artist Point! We went there when we first started dating, and have been going back every few months since then. We have a server there who we always go to, his name is Gary and he is awesome! He always remembers us, he even remembers the bottle of wine we like (which is great because we don't!)

Do they have the buffalo steak back on the menu now or is it still the shortribs? We'll be back there July 19th for our first wedding anniversary!

Glad is was such a great meal and experience for you! We are going for our first time in August - ALONE - the kids will be in the kids club! lol I can't wait!!

It was a buffalo strip steak.

We had the same server, Donald, for years, but he isn't there anymore. It is a really neat feeling to be remembered like that!
