Has anyone been to Artist point for just dessert?
My wife and I will be staying at WL from Aug 17-31.
We are eating dinner at Artist point one night but we really loved the berry cobler on our last trip so I was wondering if anyone's gone to Artist point and just ordered the dessert....maybe sit on the outside bancany area and have a nice evening drink and dessert.

When was your last trip?

The berry cobbler's good but as far as I can tell it's not drop-dead awesome enough to book a reservation just to get that.

Years ago it used to be a big dish with lots of fruit, but be advised it's at least half its former size now.

Nala is right. The berry cobbler is no longer worth the trouble.

We went to Jiko's just for dessert one night while staying at AK- we didn't book a reservation but went to the podium and asked about going in for dessert only. They told us we could order dessert at the bar or wait for a table to open up. We headed over to the bar and had just placed our order wehen the hostess came over and said they had a table available. We opted to stay at the bar but could have gone inside at that point.

We had it in March of this year.
It was served as a mini pie with a scoop of chocolate icecream on top (I was surprised when i first saw chololate instead of vanilla but it was awesome).
Maybe they've fixed it since you've last had it...we loved it!!!

Thanks Rebecca, that's exactly what I had in mind. I don't want to make a reservation and then just order dessert, I was hoping to stop by later at night once it's emptied out and just enjoy a quiet dessert. popcorn::

Yes, if that's what you want to do, go for it. Artist Point wants you to have a memorable evening. And as far as the evening drink ... AP has introduced a rolling 'spirits' cart for your drinking selection pleasure. Single Malt scotches, tres expensive cognacs, Bourbons, top of the line Grand Marniers, ports and other lovely libations. The fragrance of one cognac, Navanwas enough to make me want to try it. Yummy.
The ice cream on the cobbler is no longer chocolate chocolate but a white chocolate ice cream.
New chef is shaking up the menu and it's fun to see the kitchen being creative with their craft. In fact some of the new menu items start today!

New Chef? Does this mean that Chef Al is no longer there? I just adored him

That rolling cart sounds awesome, I still wouldn't go for the cobbler unless they increase the size though (not gonna happen with the dining plan)

We liked Chef All too, he is very personable. Chef Al was 'whisked' away to Norway in Epcot. The new head chef at AP came over from Coral Reef. I believe his name is Marco or Marcos. He wasn't there last night so we didn't get a chance to meet him. Chef Matt is still there and that makes us happy!

I've only had the berry cobbler once and wasn't that gaga over it. The rolling cart is awesome and was our dessert choice of the evening. If you go ask Curtis, the sommelier to give you the verbal tour of it all. Unbelievable the stories of some of those cognacs.
