Precious picture! I still get a smile in my heart when I see pictures of Art getting down on the childs level to interact with them. He is such a wonderful man.

It is my pleasure to let everyone know that Art was on this week's AllAboutTheMouse podcast (see http://allaboutthemouse.com or iTunes) as a special guest for a few minutes. I haven't heard the podcast yet (downloading it in the background as I type this), but I'm sure it was great. I know that the guys who do that podcast think VERY highly of Art. & how do I know this?

I was asked to help them with a small "project" during our visit to WDW from 9/29-10/8/07. The podcasters, as part of MouseFest, are hosting a meet at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club (see their website for information) and at my suggestion, they thought it would be a WONDERFUL idea to ask the man who MAKES the Beach Club what it is, Art, to be their special guest. I was asked to talk to Art about it and I am very happy to say that he has accepted, and in his usual humble way, was extremely embarrassed but honored. So, for those of you who are going to MouseFest, you may get to see him as part of it! (He hadn't even heard of MouseFest before this).

Anyway, thought that people would want to know!

We stayed for a week in June and saw Art every day several times a day. We went in and out alot! No matter how many questions I asked him, he always had an answer and with a great smile. Art definitely makes the BC! It is sooo much better because of Art. My teenagers loved that he saluted them every time we went by. He could even cheer up my grumpy DD in the morning (she's Not a morning person). One morning, we were in a hurry to get to Cape May for our ADR (almost late) and had no idea where Cape May was. I asked Art and he showed us where to go even though we were almost there. As we were leaving, the thought of not seeing Art the next day was sad. Leaving Art was like leaving WDW.

Art, Merry Christmas!!! We hope your days are as special as the days you make for others. You are a most wonderful man and you have way more fans that love you than you can imagine!

Just wanted to remind everyone that Art is on Vacation and will be returning to the Beach Club on Tues. Nov. 20th.

He will also be off Dec 8-10th - Returning on Tuesday Dec. 11th

Well I wanted to add our latest "Art adventure" . The man along with this threads OP Bren have reached a higher level of adoration from our home than I ever thought possible to give someone outside my immediate family. DS is 12 and I have posted here his experience with Art and how much he adores him. Through this thread Bren the OP and I have become friends basically at first out of our love of BC and Art and more so because we have so much in common. Another thing I must thank Art for is my friendship with her ... because without Art we would not have met. Anyway I digress. Alex my 12 year old had surgery last week. Bren of course knew and shared with Art. They along with quiet a few other people from the Beach and YC cooked up a plan to send Alex some Disney get well magic. I was excited in the beginning when I thought that he would be just getting a get well card from Art ... which he would think was the coolest thing in the world.

Alex has been doing fairly well with his recovery. Today however they are laying the floor in my bedroom today and he had a headache most of the day from all of the noise. He took a nap and while he was taking it a package came ! He is over the moon as soon as he saw it. The package was inside another box and wrapped with stitch pictures all over it! It is from Art and all the crew at the Yacht and Beach Club!!!! Art found out Alex was having surgery through a mutal friend and they have been working on getting it all together for about a month! Wonderful people to say the least! And people ask me why I love Disney so much! I am so amazed by how much love went into wrapping the gift alone! Then when you open and see all the love that went into the package ... just amazing is all I can say.

It says Get well soon.

It says We miss you already.

He had just looked at the camera and smiled big and of COURSE I missed it lol.

Inside the Chip and Dale that he wanted from our last trip but did not want to break down and spend his money for. A Stitch just like he stole from his sister lol. So she got hers back tonight. Also was this blown up picture of Stitch they had him sign. Alex was SO excited. I know it does not look like it but if Alex smiles at all it is a pretty big deal. He is a happy kid just does not get really giddy ... he is much more laid back like my husband. Needless to say he had a great day.

Oh for all you Disney buffs you might be as impressed as I was. He knows the difference between Chip and Dale and which one is which! I didn't have to tell him. I was pretty proud ... ya I am an admitted Disney dork!

I have shared the post and all the pictures you have forwarded to me to Art for him to see and share with everyone at the Yacht & Beach. They will be so excited to hear that Alex loved the box of "Disney magic"

We are all so happy that Alex's surgery was a success and he is on a great road to recovery!!

Hi Everyone -

Just a reminder - Art will be off from Saturday, December 8-Monday, December 10th. He will be returning on Tuesday, December 11th.

I'm delaying giving Art his scrapbook until January - my job has had me very busy and I haven't dedicated enough time to the scrapbook. So please continue to share pictures and stories for him.

Hello Everyone -

Art has been out sick since 12/5 - he has gone to the Dr. and after many tests they have concluded that he has pneumonia . He has been put on medication and is out of work til 12/24 maybe a bit sooner depends on how he is feeling and what his Dr. says.

I just thought I would let everyone know.

He and I spoke over the weekend and we think the pneumonia has been around since August - but he has sinus issues so they just were not treating all of his symptoms!

that all makes sense - I remember he was out a couple of times in September.

Fortunately, he came back in time for me to visit at the end of my trip.

Looking forward to going back in January, as my wife has somehow never met him.
