Art supplies?

Thanks! I shop at Michael's all the time but wasn't sure about kids stuff. They had a 50% off coupon too! There is one good for tomorrow as well so I will probably go back.

Are you looking for just cheapy kids stuff or high end stuff to give to a kid cheap? If the high end stuff to give to a kid for cheap Utrecht Art Supplies it where my architectural design firm client gets the stuff for their office. They always have a lot of coupons and sales. Not as cheap as Michael's but they have a greater variety of art stuff.

I usually use either Micheals with a coupon, or Amazon is always lower priced and has some good stuff.

I'll check that out, but I'll probably stick with Michael's. I am looking for some nicer stuff. I don't know the kid, it is for the Salvation Angel Tree. The child asked for music toys and art supplies. She's 8. I know I don't want to get the cheapo stuff but don't want to go crazy either.

I concur- you should stick with Michael's and get Crayola. Usually around this time of year they put out some "kits" that have crayons, color pencils, markers, and a container to store it. Sometimes the kits have a sketchbook and/or stickers, sometimes they don't. If there's not a sketchbook, be sure to pick up a blank pad of paper/sketch book to go with it. The Wharehouse clubs usually also have a Crayola kit around this time of year, you can compare cost & inclusions. Rose Art paint brushes aren't bad for kids, but their crayons break super easy, the pencils never stay sharp (because the lead inside is usually cracked) and the markers dry out quick. Faber-Castell are usually good, but for the price difference they're not _that_ much better than Crayola.

If you have a 5 and Below store near you, they carry Crayola, but I haven't noticed it to be discounted very much.
