I'm really drawn to Disney ART. Oct 2020 and May 2021 I have to say the pickings were pretty slim. Has anyone noticed any newer pieces at any of the stores at the resorts, parks or Disney springs.

I just returned from a trip and the whole time I looked for Jim Shore pieces. There was one store at Epcot that had maybe 4 pieces, but none that I wanted. I was disappointed, I thought his work would pop up in the themed stores--such as Pirates, it also wasn't in the big stores--World of Disney or Mouse Gears. We also look for prints and I was disappointed to see Art of Animation wasn't selling prints, it's "Art" of Animation after all. I wish these things were easier to come by. Sure I can buy all I want online, but it's more sentimental when I get it in the parks.

We are huge fans of Larry Dotson and try to purchase his prints each time we visit. We were lucky enough to purchase a new print from him at the Art of Disney in Disney Springs the beginning of June when he had a signing. DH did make the comment that it is harder to find prints of all of the Disney artists. I did notice that Larry Dotson has a few signing events coming up during Food & Wine starting tomorrow at Disney Springs.

Just stayed at the riviera, ordered a print I liked from the art kiosk in the gift shop there. Any print you see displayed around the riviera, also in the rooms, you can get a print of via the art kiosk. I just ordered the cheapest 16x20 print, not matted or framed. It was $65 with the shipping. Comes in 2-3 weeks. Also, I checked and asked while I was there…all the prints available cannot be purchased anywhere else, I.e., shopDisney, they are special to the riviera

Agree, we were there April 2021, and there didn't seem to be any where near the amount of art they usually have.

Bummer I just checked and of course we will be arriving the day after he's there and leaving a few days before he comes back.

We were still pretty covid-ized then, so it did feel a little less. I think we went in April. I still had a great time. Every festival is getting more normal as we go on, so hopefully it's more exciting for 2022. It's still my favorite festival tho and I won't miss going!!

Personally I wouldn't compare anything related to covid to a real expectation. Even F&W will suffer from staffing issues and no international cast members or guests.

I just have my daughter paint me watercolors of the characters - much cheaper and I think she does a nice job:
It is a nice job. I just paint my own. Took me 6 months but I finally finished it.

We talked to one of the Artists at the Festival of the Arts and they said pretty much everyone was scrambling to get product because they were notified so late in the process that the festival was going to happen. Hopefully next year is better! :)

Sometimes the Disney Springs Holiday Christmas Shop has designer art pieces They include a section for Halloween also… But the Riviera Resort Gift Shop has many pieces I would love to order .

I've been looking for Larry Dotson prints and Jim Shore pieces, and haven't seen them anywhere. I used to love "The Art of Disney" store in Epcot, but it isn't there. I haven't been to the Magic Kingdom yet, but I hope they haven't taken that little area on Main Street out.

I am so sorry! I didn’t load the VV to my Dosh account. I loaded it to my Sam’s account. I then went through Dosh to Sam’s, made my DGC purchase and paid with the VV.

Unfortunately the art shop on main street last October was really minimal.

Our last two trips they had a shop set up in the American Pavilion.

I was there in 2020 and there is a store in Disney Springs called "Art of Disney". Its down near the Christmas store. They had quite a few of the Jim Shore pieces for sale. They also has a lot of Disney art there.

I’m pretty sick that I didn’t make it into this store when we were there this past Tuesday. We were in a hurry to get back to Kidani for a swim. I probably would have come home with a lot less cash! Love Jim Shore. He autographed a piece for me when I met him at a store in California’s Downtown Disney!
