I made a reservation at Art of A back in spring, for mid October. At that time, they said they could not take a request or reservation for a specific section. It was ok with me, since I was not sure what section I wanted anyway.
I called yesterday to make a section request. The first operator found my reservation, and said I have only a reservation for a family suite. NO theme. I kept asking, what do you mean? She insisted that while I will get a suite, it will be in a building that is not themed. I said, I do not think there ARE any buildings there that are unthemed, but she insisted. ARGHH. I asked politely for another representative, or a supervisor, saying that I thought she might be in error, and I did not want to call back and go thru all the phone prompts, and wait on hold all over again. She began arguing with me, so I had to say thanks anyway, and call back.
When I called back, I got a helpful and informed cast member. She said that when you call, they will book you in a specific area, until that area is full. For me, all areas now show "Full" or booked. So my room is just a family suite, and I will be assigned when I check in. I guess I missed the boat, by booking early and then not calling again until now. She could only take my room request, not guaranteed. Which is ok, I am hoping for Cars, will probably get Lion King I assume.
