Hi!! My husband and I just decided we need some alone time and what better place than our favorite place in the world!?

We want to stay in a value being that it's only 4 full days (5 nights), and we won't be spending too much time at the resort, plus with it being last minute we want to save money. Has anyone had experience with Art of Animation? I know the Little Mermaid is the only section that is rooms only. I booked it last night, but wanted some opinions as to what you think of it for just a couple. I think it would be awesome being that it's brand new, etc.

Thanks for the input!!

Don't see why not! Wife and I got back from our Disney trip two weeks ago - stayed across the lake at POP

Why not? As long as you are aware of the distances involved between the LM rooms and the main building, and you're OK with that.

If you're not planning on spending any time around the hotel, why not? If you are, however, I'd recommend staying somewhere else. We stayed at POR last October and it's so much nicer (especially for couples) than AoA. We did visit AoA as it was my first choice. I was so glad we didn't stay there. It was like pulling up to a WalMart box store - all concrete and not very welcoming. The themeing inside the building was cool, and the pool area was pretty cool for small kids (which there were tonnes of). It just didn't have the resort feel to it that we were looking for. But that's just my opinion...

I am Childess by Choice and have stayed at AoA as well as all the other values. The AoA resort is stunning in its theming. Like you, I do not spend a great deal of time in the room.

The big downsides for me were the location of the LM rooms as related to the food court (HIKE) and the food court itself (BEDLAM, noise and chaos). I have only stayed at AoA once, but I was bothered by in room noise (babies crying, conversations in other rooms) and I am not a light sleeper. In hindsight I should have requested a top floor room.
