What kind of 'pods' do the coffee makers use at the Art of Animation suites? My dad is a stickler for Maxwell House brand so I'm hoping to order some from gardengrocers for our trip in February but as someone who hates coffee I'm having a hard time knowing I'm looking for :confused3

I bought a pack of four generic K-Cup type 'pod holders' at a local store which would let us buy a small pouch from gardengrocers and he'd pour that in himself each morning. This seemed great and I was going to give these to him for Christmas but the photos of the machine and free 'pods' on disneyfoodblog look more like small, flat, round mesh things. He uses a machine with a big pot at home so I'm completely at a loss about how these newer machines work.

1) Is there a different sort of 'filter' I could buy him so he could just dump in the Maxwell House from a pouch, or would those K-Cup ones work? Could he put in the grinds without a filter without breaking the machine?
2) I think I've found similar Maxwell House small/flat/round-mesh packs online, but the blend isn't Original and there's a lot of them for a high price. We're only staying for a week so the leftovers seem wasteful.
3) Should I just let this go and hope he enjoys the ones at the resort? The pictures look like an 'Arabican blend' is provided. Is that really so different from Original?
4) Could we ask for a regular (older?) coffee maker to be brought to our room?

This isn't a deal breaker by any means since we have our hearts set on the Cars suites. Any help is appreciated!

Sorry, no.

Yes, it does seem wasteful. But those are the pods that work in these coffee makers.

That would be my choice. Hey, you guys will be IN DISNEY!:thumbsup2

You can ask, but I highly doubt it.

OP, if you go to Amazon and do a search for "Refillable coffee pods for Senseo" you'll see some options for you there to make your own pods. I say Senseo because these are the types of pods that work with the new coffee makers at Disney.

Thank you! I've checked these out and they look like they will work, but it says for Senso coffee makers only. The pics I've seen in the rooms are for Cuisinart. Call me a worry wart, but are you sure they'll still work?

If you get the "Easy Pack" ones they will work fine, but you will also need to get the device that seals the filters and it may not be worth the expense.

By 'easy pack', do you mean these ones, or do they come with the sealing device?

We've used these and they are pretty good.

Just run hot water through the machine (you don't have to have a pod in it) and use these like a tea bag.

Those look brilliant! I will have to check our local stores and see if any are available. Thank you.
