I have read that the Anaheim Resort Transit is wheelchair accessible. Does anyone have any experience with it?

My family will be staying off-site, most likely Homewood Suites. (We need the extra room & the kitchen).

Are all of the ART buses accessible? If not, do we have to call ahead? Is it a pain to use? Do they treat you like a nuisance or are they OK with wheelchairs?

Just trying to plan ahead and weigh ART vs. parking in Mickey & Friends.

Any feedback will help,

Thanks!

We stayed at Homewood in April this year. The ART is fully wheelchair accessible. The driver has a lifting ramp to get onto the bus. The ART though stops at the Marriot next door, perhaps 30 metres from the Homewood front desk.

The Homewood is now part of a private network of shuttles, though they aren't accessible, but do run to timetable. We used the ART as they had better accessibility options for MIL who uses a cane and sometimes a chair to get around.

I know this is an old post, but I've been trying to find out how many wheelchair spots there are on an ART bus and can't seem to find the answer. Does anyone know? My mom and I both use power chairs, and we will likely have two people in our party using ECVs, as well. In the past we've chosen close hotels and walked, but some are a fair distance and the walk can feel especially long after a full day at the park :P So I'm just trying to decide if it would be worth it to try ART. Any details on their wheelchair set-up would be awesome. :) Thanks in advance!!
