so all day i've been procrastinating.
i have a 3000 word paper due tomorrow on a performance that i did and its relationship to different mechanisms of theatre.
i woke up at 10, procrastinated/half worked on it all morning. Finally 3:00 rolls around and I realized I had to start. It's 5:30 and I'm about 1700 words in. Only 1300 more to go. UGH.

what's the longest paper you've had to write?
and HOW DO YOU BEAT PROCRASTINATION!!
i want to finish this before gossip girl tonight! haha heeelp.

While it isn't a solo paper, I am on the eve of my worst procrastination efforts ever.

For tomorrow, I must write:

1 Poetry Exlpication on "Delires II: Alchimie du Verbe" (an excerpt from Arthur Rimbaud's "Une Saison en Enfer") for AP English Literature.
1 Statistical Analysis Report for AP Statistics.
1 Four-page article response for Holocaust and Genocide in the Modern Era
and finally

Read Chapters 1-7 of Part II of Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment".

For tomorrow. I'm screwed.

our papers have limits on paragraphs, but not words.
once i had to choose a quote (could only be 7 words, and one sentance) and i had to write 6 paragraphs on it using the requirements my teacher gave me. well, i procrastinated all week thinking i would be able to get it done in one night. man, i was wrong. our requirements were sooo stupid. i had no way that i could somehow put it into the essay. i spent about 6 hours trying to figure out what to do, and ended up turning it in with only a few of the requirements. xD

Seriously, AP Lit will be the death of me. BUT! C&P is better than anything written by Joseph Conrad. "Heart of Darkness" and "Lord Jim" were pure hell.

a ten page paper is CRAZY!! I think the most I've ever written is like, 4. GLGLGL getting it done!!
Maybe like write a couple hundred words, then take a little break, then write a few more paragraphs, then take a break. That was you wont be like 'IM SO SICK OF THIS I NEED AN HOUR LONG BREAK'

The longest paper I've ever had to write was an 8-10 page research paper. I didn't wait until the last minute to write it tho. We knew about it from the very beginning of the semester and I wrote a few pages each week.

You just have over-rule what your mind is wanting to do. Like, when you start to think "hmmm....I think I'm going to watch tv..." You have to stop yourself and be all: "NOPE! KEEP WRITING MUFFIN-HEAD! The more you write now, the less you have to write later."

You could also reward yourself! Like, with every 2 pages you do, give yourself a piece of candy. Then, you'll be like "Just to more sentences and I can have some candy. YAY CANDY!"

Let me tell you, I have written my best papers around midnight, the day before (or of ) the paper's due date and its usually my best writing. I usually surprise myself!

Anyways, I hope you get it all done, and it goes well! I've written a 2000 word essay, and that about killed me. Thats why I'm not doing any kind of major that requires alot of writing.

I had to write an 11 page paper for my marketing class back in October/November.
Although 4 pages of it were due every 2 weeks.
It was awful, especially since I suck at math.

Thanks for all the GL everyone. I've been taking ALOT of breaks, just finished dinner, and I'm in the home stretch--only 700 words to go!!
Then I've got another essay due thursday, then another due next monday, then another due next thursday--and I guarantee you all of them will be done the day before. I get pretty decent marks on work that I do in a rush thouh, so hopefully I do well on this one! After these 4 essays, I'm DONE school (well, I also have 4 exams, but I've got time to study) so at least I have that to look forward to! haha

Oh wow, thats alot of papers!

I have 2 projects due in the middle of April I have yet to start, and probably have a bunch of quizzes here and there before finals. I was just told I only have about 40 school days left! Yikes!

I have officially finished half of my to-do list.

I am done with my Poetry Explication (certainly not my best, but pretty damn good, IMO) and my Stats Paper. Now all that's left is my Holocaust work and my 7 chapters (which I just got a message on facebook saying they're due tuesday...)

and my school is done a week after most of the colleges/unis around here! my bf's last exam in april 20!

What I'm dreading is the 15 page paper I have to write next quarter for AP Lit. I'm so happy that I'm one of my teacher's favourites.
