Sadly I've just had a call from Mum and Dad died during the night - a year to the day since Phil went to theatre.......

I've told Phil to look after him (or 'Phylis' as my Dad called him) so hopefully they're chatting over a whisky or two

I've not told Eve yet...I'm going to put my 'work head' on, get her to school and tell her this evening when I've been to see Mum

Eve's home from school and has shed a few tears

She's spoken to her big brother and best mate so she's just got to get hold of her sister now.

My mate took the day off work and we've spent the day with Mum , contacting folk...My 'black humour' was bullying me to get Mum to agree to a hol in Feb half term in case I get a job and can't take her away any later in the year........

As I said to one of my FB friends I just wish I had money enough to treat all her mates to something special - they've been fantastically supportive to her over the last few years.............

to all my FB and DIS friends too - you're all fantastic

Eve's in the front room now, with her Godfather (Uncle Bill) deciding whether we 'need' a takeaway tonight
